of a group of people possessing similar characteristics due
to their existence in same society.
Social systems becomes the organizational culture and
have a profound effect on the ways employees work
together.

What is Organizational Social System?


Complex set of interacting human relationships
Includes all the people in an organization and their
relationships to one another and to the outside world.
All parts are mutually interdependent
The behavior of any one member can have an impact, directly
or indirectly, on the behavior of any other. A change in one part
of a system affects all other parts
Engages in exchanges with its environment (open system)
Receiving input from it, and providing output to it. It is an open
system that interact with their surroundings.

Communicating and Changing Culture


This is only possible if management are able to consciously
create and manage their organizational culture
Organizational socialization- continuous process of
transmitting key elements of an organizations culture to its
employees (VMOs, trainings, modeling, mentoring, etc.)
Storytelling managers tell stories how past problems were
solved, effective way of sharing lessons and wisdoms
Individualization employees either accepts or rejects norms
and values formed within the organization and create degrees
of influence (rebellion or total conformity)
