EFFECTS OF RICE HUSKS

ASH ON CONCRETE

CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION:

Rice Husk Ash (RHA)

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

1. To transform agricultural waste in construction
industry to reduce the environmental waste produced
by it.
2. To help the urban people by using an alternative
material as partial replacement for Portland cement in
construction works.
3. To compare the strength and mechanical properties of
the following:
RHA
Standard concrete

4. The study seeks for further assessment on how the

Rice Husks Ash can help in terms of economical and

making a concrete more durable and economical by
using rice husk ash as partial replacement of Portland
cement.
the study will conduct tests by trial and error basis to
examine the concrete strength with rice husk ash.

OBJECTIVES OF THE LITERATURE

REVIEW:
1. To lessen the cost of the materials to be used (Rice
Husks as a partial replacement to cement and Rice
Husks Ash to sand).
2. To reduce organic waste that can used to other
purposes.
3. To reduced greenhouse emission because rice husks is
economic and environmental friendly.
