(Bustos Campus)?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE
STUDY

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Through the implementation of the

proposed Four-Storey Student Services
Building in Bulacan State University
Bustos Campus, various benefits can
be substantially acquired.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

The building will improve, develop, and

sustain good and efficient services that
will benefit theStudents,
University administrators,
and other future researchers.

School Facilities Design

Certain design characteristics, such as
school size, classroom size and location, and
the provision of secluded study spaces, all
make substantial differences in learning
outcomes.

Problem of Poor School Facilities

and Services
Much have been said about the so-called
diploma mills crowded classrooms, lack
of textbooks, incompetent teachers,
unavailability of teaching materials,
substandard libraries, laboratories,
equipments and other facilities, dilapidated
school buildings, irrelevant curricula, etc.

Space Requirements and

Activities

The diversity of space requirements and

activities of a student center makes their
classification into a few major categories
difficult. Nevertheless, there are many similar
aspects to consider when planning the different
types of program spaces.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Feasibility Study

ituational Analysis
The four-storey Student Services Building in
BSU Bustos is proposed to be built in the front
portion of the vacant 2129 square meters lot
inside the University. It has a total floor area of
3420 square meters.

designed to cater to the needs of the students.
Its significance to the development,
sustenance and efficient services will greatly
benefit the students.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Feasibility Study

Market Analysis
The building will set in to accommodate the
growing demand for various services for the
students. The researchers generally
emphasized the project to be a non-profit
generating structure.

Environmental Analysis
This is accomplished through the acquisition
of background data and information.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Mitigation
Some mitigation enhancement measures should
be implemented pre-construction phase,
construction phase, and operational phase of the
building to avoid predicted negative impacts to
the environment.
Effective waste management system in the
BSU-Bustos Students Services Building should
be clearly identified and properly be
implemented.

Socio-Political Analysis

Feasibility Study

Social Desirability
The researchers conducted a Simple
Random Sampling to give an unbiased
distribution of the student population. Out of
the total population of 4687 students, we
selected 100 respondents from their
respective colleges for data gathering
through survey, and came up with a sample
distribution.

SUMMARY,
CONCLUSIONS AND
RECOMMENDATIONS
PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Summary
The building will improve, develop, and sustain
good and efficient services both for the students
and school administrators.
It shall adopt appropriate design and
specifications based on the existing Codes and
Specifications.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Summary
In the pre-operating and operating period of the
project, the task and responsibilities of the incharge personnel must be comprehensive.
Environmentally, the building will not greatly
affect or alter any biological or human activities
within the site during construction period and
operational period.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Summary
The building will render services that will
profoundly affect the productive learning of
the students.
It is highly accepted by the students and the
general public.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Conclusions
Based on the facts presented, it has come to a
conclusion that there is really a need for a
Student Services Building to accommodate the
growing needs for student services.
The efficient services it offers will surely
surmount the cost to be invested.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Conclusions
It has been proved also that the proposal
passed the requirements for environmental
and technical codes, accomplished through the
acquisition of baseline data and information.
The Student Services building will give more
opportunities for the students to become
actively engaged in meaningful activities.

PROPOSED FOUR-STOREY
STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Recommendations
Some spaces provided for student lounge and
study areas are subjected to change of use
considering the future proposals of additional
substantial offices for student services.
Fire alarm system installation must be taken of
careful design and analysis by professionals.
