IV. CONCLUSION
- The textbook is currently developed and
approved by MoET
- The objectives of the course are not
recognized adequately and clearly in the
textbook.
- Some topics are not up-to-date
- This textbook can be used but changes are
necessary to correspond more closely with
the aim of teaching and learning program

The chart shows the distribution of world
population by region.
It can be seen that the world population is
distributed unevenly in different regions. South
Asia ranks first with 32 percent, followed by
East Asia with 26 percent. Thus, Asia alone
accounts for more than half of the world
population. Europe accounts for 15 percent,
and Africa 11 percent. The population of Latin
America is nearly half of Europes and only a
quarter of that of South Asia. Northern
America makes up an even smallest
percentage. Oceania has the smallest
population with only 2 percent.
Overall, the greatest concentration of the
worlds population is in Asia, with Africa
following far behind.

Post-writing: Activity 3 (Writing Completion)

The pie-chart shows how electricity was
generated in the US in 1970. It clearly shows that
gas and coal provided the bulk of electricity
produced in that year.
One source, coal, accounted for almost half of
US electricity production, at 46%. This was almost
twice as much the next competitor, natural gas,
which provided just over 24% of power. Renewable
sources of electricity, such as hydroelectric power,
supplied less than 17% of electric power. A small
proportion came from oil, with about one-eighth of
American energy came from oil-fired power stations.
By far the smallest sector, however, was nuclear
power. It accounted for less than 2% of US electricity
supplies.
In conclusion, two sources, coal and gas,
dominated
production
of
electricity,
while
hydroelectric power stations, nuclear facilities and
oil-burning turbines produced just over a quarter of
US power needs.
