SHORT STORY : TANJONG RHU
1.Do you think the short story
has a satisfactory ending? Why? Yes, I satisfy with the ending of the story because Mr Li realised in the end that his mother was right about preserving family values and nature.
2.Which moral value in the story
strikes you the most? Why? The moral value strikes me the most is diligence because to be successful we have to work very hard.
3.Mr Li felt restless the day
after his mothers death. Why was this so? Mr Li felt restless the day after his mothers death because he started missing his dead mother.

1.Do you think the short story
has a satisfactory ending? Why? Yes, I satisfy with the ending of the story because Aloo achieved what he wanted. As for his mother, she learnt to accept her sons decision.
2.The story is told by Mohez. Is
this an interesting way to tell readers the story? Why? Yes, it is. Through a family member, we can understand the family members feeling.
3.Who is your favourite
character in the story? Give reasons for your choice. It is Aloo. I admirer his sense of determination and guts. He made a decision and he stuck to it till the end.
DRAMA : THE RIGHT THING TO
DO
1.In your opinion, though they do not
know who is the woman in blue, why did the three people listen to her and carry out her orders?
They listen to her and carry out
her orders because she uses commanding tone and they think she is right in offering help to the sick man in the road.
2.Why do you think the woman
later walks quietly away without anyone notice it? The woman walks away quietly because she feels that she has done her part and the man is feeling better.
3.Have you enjoyed reading
the play? Why? Yes, I have. It reminds me of our duty to help people in need regardless of what we can claim from extending the help.
POEM : THE LIVING PHOTOGRAPH
1.Why do you think the
grandmother looks tall in the photo?
She had an upright back which
made her look taller than what she is.
2.Why are the two hands given
different colours, white and black? The white hand symbolises youth and innocence while the black hand symbolises old age and experience.
3.What is the significance of
grandmother became small? As she grew old, her body changed and started to shrink.
4. Describe your response after
reading the poem. Why do you respond in this manner? I have enjoyed reading the poem. I find it very and meaningful as it is about the personas strong love for her grandmother.
POEM : THE CHARGE OF THE
LIGHT BRIGADE
1.How do you view the order
Charge for the guns! It is a dangerous order which demanded the soldiers to charge to their death.
2.Which moral value of the poem
strikes you the most? Why? Responsibility. This is because I see a difference in the soldiers who are very responsible while the commander is very irresponsible.
3.Describe your response after
reading the poem. Why do you respond in this manner? I feel sad after reading the poem because I think the death of 600 soldiers would have been avoided.
