What is social issues and the environment ??

issue ( also called a social problem, social conflict, or

s a problem that influences a considerable number of
als within a society. It is often the consequence of fac
ng beyond an individuals social issue is the source of
ng opinion on the grounds of what is perceived as a m
sonal life or societal order. There are several problems
uffers due to different social issues.
So lets see what are factors that causes social issues to occur !!!

From Unsustainable To Sustainable

Development
Sustainable development can be defined as meeting the needs of the
present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their
own needs.
It is effective use of resources for economic development while preserving
the environment and ecosystem so that not only the needs of presents
are fulfilled but also for the future generations.
Sustainable development also interlinks the development and carrying
capacity of environment and ecosystem.

URBAN:PROBLEMS RELATED TO ENERGY

Energy needs are typically very in high urban areas.

High-rise building consumes huge amount of electricity to operate
lifts ,pump water & for illumination.

Modern cooking is done with kerosene ,naturals gas ,LPG or

electricity. This consume large amount of fossil fuels.

Efficient public transit systems like metros should be used. Fuel

should be saved . Electricity should not be wasted.

WHAT IS WATERSHED MANAGEMENT?

What is watershed?
A watershed is a basin like land form defined by highpoints and ridgelines that
descend into lower elevations and stream valleys.
Watershed management is defined as the process of formulating and carrying
out course of action involving manipulation of natural, agricultural and human
resources of a watershed to provide resources that are desired by and are
suitable to the watershed community.
The watershed management and exploitation should not have any adverse
effects on soil and water resources.
It is an integrated and multidisciplinary approach.

OZONE LAYER
Ozone(o3) is a poisonous gas and a dangerous pollutant at ground level. A layer of
ozone( in a mixture with oxygen) exists in the stratosphere 20 to 50 km above earths
surface. Ozone molecules reflect the Ultraviolet ray (UV) coming from the sun and
protect life on earth.
Chemical such as Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) from refrigerators and aerosol
propellant release chlorine that combines with ozone. Thus only oxygen is left in the
ozone layer and there is nothing to stop the UV rays. This cause skin cancer,
cataracts and other diseases.

Harmful effects of the depletion of ozone:

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

Environmental ethics deals with issues related to the rights of individuals that are
fundamental to life and well being.
This concerns not only the needs of each person today but also those who will
come after us.
It also deals with rights of other living creatures that inhabit our earth.

Which are the possible solutions for the environmental problems ?

NEED FOR PUBLIC AWARENESS

o Important to understand that natural environment and man-made
environment are Interdependent.
o Essential to make the public aware of the formidable consequences of the
environmental degradation.
o Reformative measures if not undertaken, would result in the extinction of life.
o Environmental protection is every individuals obligations and duty.
o And so, environmental consciousness needs to be propagated at all levels.

CONCLUSION
We all of three have chosen these topic i.e. social
issue and environment seeing now-a-days the
environmental condition we thought to convey the
message in the form of ppt . If we want a generation
that care about the environment we need to encourage
a deep relationship with the world around us (not just
on screens). We need to do our job of spreading
awareness of environment issues so that we can limit
the negative impacts the human have.
So its a request to get involve with the
environment and save our environment as you are
saving your life.
