Dropbox is an app/service where


you can store your files online.

Instead of using an external


hard drive

Sign up for a free basic account


with 2GB storage space.

Lets get started._

Create a basic account


in Dropbox._

In Google Search, type dropbox.com


and press Enter.

This is the Dropbox homepage

Type your email

Click Sign up for free

Type your name

Choose a password and type


here

Click the small box

Click Get Dropbox

You are now downloading


Dropbox to your PC

After download, this will appear on


the bottom-left of your screen

Click DropboxInstaller.exe

Click Run

Type email

Type password

Click Sign in

Click Open my Dropbox

Click Get started

Click Next

Click Next again

Click Next again

Click Finish

On the bottom-right corner of the


screen youll see the Dropbox icon

And the Dropbox shortcut in


your Desktop

Save files to Dropbox


in your Desktop._

In your Desktop, open the


Dropbox shortcut

Files inside this folder will also


be save in your Dropbox account
online

You can save or copy-paste files


into the Dropbox folder

Example, from the Desktop, drag and


drop abc.txt to the Dropbox shortcut

Or, first open the Dropbox folder


then drag abc.txt inside

abc.txt is now
in your desktop Dropbox folder

Open your online Dropbox


account from your Desktop._

Click again the Dropbox icon

Click this to open your


online Dropbox account

You will now see abc.txt in


your online Dropbox account

As part of the sign-up process,


click Verify my email

Open your Inbox and


click the email from Dropbox

Click Verify your email

Click Done

Share files in your


Dropbox with others._

Example, lets share abc.txt.


Click the file you want to share.

Click Share

Type the email of the person you want


to send this to. Then press Enter.

If you want to send this to 2 or more


people, type their emails here too.

Click Send

Create a new folder


in your online
Dropbox account._

Click this to create a new folder

Type name of folder and press


Enter

Example, folder name is Test 1

Save/copy files to the


online Dropbox folder._

Lets put the abc.txt


in the Test 1folder

Drag and drop abc.txt to the


folder

Click folder to see the file


inside

Theres the abc.txt file

Remember you can add more


files
in the folder

You can also add more folders


to organize your files

Share a folder from your


online Dropbox account._

Select a folder

click Share

Click this to give others permission


to
view and edit files in this folder

Enter their emails

Click Share folder

If you click this, others can


only view files in your folder

Like this. Same as sharing


individual files.

Type their emails here

Click Send

Access, Edit, & Download


your files anywhere
with Dropbox._

Go to Dropbox.com

Click Sign in

Enter email and password and


click Sign in

Welcome to your
online Dropbox account

Click the file you want to access.


Example: hello.txt

When you click on a file or folder


these options will show up

You can also right-click on the file

If you click Open

Dropbox will open hello.txt

Now you can edit hello.txtand


save your file

Click on the file name

Here are the changes to your file

Click Open to open the file again

To download your file, click this.

and click Download

Your file will be save in the computer


or device you are currently using
