• World Bank's 2007 Global Logistics Report ranks India 39 amongst 150
countries in terms of logistics performance during the year as well as its
future potential.
• the Indian logistics industry is expected to grow annually at the rate of 15 to
20 per cent, reaching revenues of approximately US$ 385 billion by 2015.
• Warehousing activities account for about 20 per cent of the total Indian
logistics industry and tends to grow up to 30-35 per cent.
• Over the next five years, approximately 110 logistics parks and 45 million
square feet of warehousing space is expected to be developed across the
country by various logistics companies.
• Gurgaon, Vizag, Nagpur and Indore are the emerging hubs and
Jamshedpur, Alwar, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Ambala are the promising
hubs to which we have to serve up till now.
