CC&B Browser Versions

Browser Client using Microsoft Internet Explorer as per


Installation Guide.
Wintel platforms supported only
CC&B supports Microsoft supported platforms only.
Microsoft removes support, Oracle Utilities removes
support

Browser User Interface (BUI) is a combination of HTML,


Javascript and AJAX.
No ActiveX or Java components in base product
installation.
You can add them if you wish (e.g. CTI/IVR integration)

Internet Explorer Browser Settings


Cache settings need to be

Specifying the URL

The URL for Customer Care & Billing is:


http://<machine>:<yourPort>/SPLApp/cis.jsp

Alternatives:
Typed in browser Address Bar.
Set in browser settings as the default web page.
Set as a shortcut in Windows.
There are options on the URL to alter the default
configuration.

Disabling the IE toolbar

It is possible to shut off the toolbar and Address bar


when starting CC&B
Useful to maximize display area
Useful to avoid confusion with IE Toolbar

Must embed JavaScript within HTML page.


Sample exists in under "Enter Customer Care & Billing
(1024)"

Jumping to specific pages

To start the product on a specific page use URL:


http://<machine>:<port>/cis.jsp?location=<navigationKey>

Where <navigationKey> = Screen name to jump to.


For example:

http://<server>:<port>/cis.jsp?location=accountMaint

To start on a page with an object loaded then use URL:


http://<server>:<port>/cis.jsp?
location=<navigationkey>&<key>=<value>

Where <navigationKey> = Screen name to jump to.


<key> = Object to specify as key
<value> = Valid Value for key
For example:
http://<server>:<port>/cis.jsp?
location=accountMaint&ACCT_ID=010596870

Complex keys are supported by using the & to delimit


the fields.

Server Settings for Browser

maxAge Number of seconds text is cached on Internet


Explorer. Default: 28800
maxAgeI Number of seconds graphics is cached on
Internet Explorer. Default: 28800
disableUIPageCompression Whether compression is
disabled between Client and Server. Default: false
