What happens
now?
For the UK to leave the EU, it has to invoke an
agreement called Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty
which gives the two sides two years to agree the terms
of the split.
Could there be a
second referendum?
It seems highly unlikely. Both the Conservatives and the
Labour Party have ruled out another referendum,
arguing that it would be an undemocratic breach of trust
with the British people who clearly voted to Leave.
