Reservation for persons with


disabilities
1. Categories:blindness or low vision
hearing impairment
locomotor disability or cerebral palsy
(includes all cases of orthopaedically
handicapped persons)
Reservation is admissible only for
those who suffer from not less than
40% of relevant disability.

2. for direct recruitment:- admissible for all


groups.
3. % of reservation:- three % @ 1% for each
of the three categories. However the
reservation of 3% shall be equally distributed
between persons with the categories of
disabilities for whom the post has been
identified as suitable.
4. identification of posts:- more than 1000
jobs have been identified for appointment of
these categories.

Inter se exchange:- if a candidate of


a particular category is not available
or if nature of vacancy may be
exchanged for a vacancy against
another among the 3 categories.
Carry forward the reservation :- will
be carried forward to the three
subsequent years.

Age relaxations and concessions:- 10


yrs for rect. Through
SSC/employment exchange for gr.
Cposts.
10 yrs for gr. AB post for rect.
Through open competition exam. & 5
yrs. In other cases.

Reservation for meritorious


sportspersons
Eligibility :- represent state or
country in national or international
competition.
Extent of reservation:- no specific %
prescribed. But not more than 5% of
vacancies.
Posts to which:- only group C posts.
Age relaxation:- max. age limit may
be relaxed by 5 yrs.

Reservation for exservicemen


Definition:- ex serviceman means a person
who has served in any rank in the regular
army, navy and air force .
Reservation:-10% of vacancies. In group C
posts.
Reservation benefit only in the 1st civil
employment. Age relaxation as prescribed
for ex serviceman is admissible.`
Relaxations:- age- 3yrs over and above the
period of service rendered .

Compassionate appointment of
dependants
1. Applicable to a dependent family member
of a) a govt. servant who dies in
service(incl. death by suicide)
2. Is retired on medical grounds before
attaining the age of 55 yrs.
Dependent family means:spouse,son/daughter and brother or sister
in the case of unmarried .
In case of missing employee:- after 2 yrs
from the date of missing.

FIR has been filed.


He had at least two yrs. To retire.
Not committed fraud/joined terrorist
org./gone abroad
If the com.auth. Feels case is
genuine.
Decision is to be taken at the level of
secretary.

Only group C posts.


Made only against the D.R. QUOTA
Relaxation:- age- max age may
relaxed if necessary but no relax. In
min age of 18
Qualifications:- may be relaxed up 2
yrs.
Procedure:- all conditions are
relaxed.
Limitation:- only up to 5% of

Probation on appointment
All newly appointed or promoted
persons are on probation for a period
of 2 years.
No probation for a person promoted
from one grade to another grade
within the same service & same
group.
Probation reports should be written in
addition to confidential reports.

There will no probation in the case

Re employment after superannuation
On the expiry of the period of probation steps
should be taken to
confirm the probationer/issue orders
or extend the period of probation
or discharge or terminate services of the
probationer

The decision to confirm the probationer or to


extend the period of probation as the case may
be should be communicated to the probationer
normally within 6 to 8 weeks.
Confirmation of probationer after completion of
the period of probation is not automatic but is to
be followed by formal orders.
As long as no specific orders of confirmation or
satisfactory completion of probation are issued
to a probationer, such pro.ner shall be deemed
to have continued on probation.

Decision to confirm or to extend the period


of probation should be communicated to
the probationer within 2 months.
Uniform probation period should be
prescribed for both promotes and direct
recruits.
Probation no to be extended as a matter of
routine.
It is compulsory to pass any exam if
necessary, for confirmation.
