Batteries in the APM30 Battery Cabinet

The
battery cabinet supports two types of batteries, the -48 V 50 AH
and the -48 V 100 AH. The batteries can be grouped into the following
combinations:
When
the -48 V 50 AH batteries are configured, they can be expanded to -48
V
100 AH through connecting the upper and the lower battery groups in parallel.
When
the -48 V 92 AH batteries are configured,
they can be expanded to -48 V 184 AH through

connecting the upper and the lower battery groups
in parallel.

Door Status Sensor

The
APM30 power cabinet, APM30 battery cabinet, and APM30 transmission

cabinet use the same type of door status sensor.

Heating film
The
heating film functions in the low-temperature environment to
provide suitable working temperature for the batteries. When the working
temperature in the battery cabinet is lower than the temperature
specification for the battery, the battery capacity declines. So the heating
film is installed in the battery cabinet to provide the optimal working
temperature for the batteries.
The
heating film works through AC power
supply, with working voltage of 220 V

AC and rated heating power of 100 W.
The
heating film starts heating when the
temperature in the cabinet is lower

than 5, and stops heating when the
temperature in the cabinet is greater than
15.
The
tolerance temperature range of the
heating film is -40 to +80.

and performs the following functions:

AFMU Board
The
AFMU board refers to APM Fan Monitor unit Interface Board. The
AFMU board is located at the upper right corner of the APM30 cabinet,
and performs the following functions:
Provides
DC power supply to the APMI and AFMU boards through the DC
power port
Supplies
DC power to the two fans at the top of the cabinet and reports the
alarms of the fans

Reports
the alarms of the internal ambient temperature sensor, air inlet
temperature sensor, and air outlet temperature sensor

The
alarm signals of the AFMU board is transported to the APMI board
through
the signal transfer cable and then is reported to the BBU.

DCDU-03A Module
The
DCDU-03A is used for DC power distribution. All input and output
cables are front accessed. The DCDU-03A performs the following functions:
Supports
one DC power input with the maximum current of 32 A.
Supports
nine outputs, where LOAD0, with the maximum output current of 12 A,
supports power to the fan unit; LOAD1 to LOAD8, with the maximum current of 4 A,
supports power to the transmission equipment.
Provides
the surge protection alarm reporting function through the built-in surge
protection board.

EMUA Environment Monitoring Unit Applicable to all types of

BTSs manufactured by Huawei, the EMUA is used to monitor the
environment in the equipment room and the cabinet.

Providing
a variety of input ports for monitoring signals, the EMUA

Transmission Interface Box
The transmission interface box interfaces the transmission equipment

prepared by the operator with the BTS equipment supplied by Huawei.
Huawei provides the following two types of transmission interface

boxes:
75-ohm transmission interface box
120-ohm transmission interface box.
Technical Specifications:
The 75-ohm transmission interface box and the 120-ohm transmission interface
box have the same dimensions: 420 mm (L) 378 mm (W) 125 mm (H).
The weight of the transmission interface box is 4.92 kg by default before

delivery.

Internal DDF
The
Digital Distribution Frame (DDF) connects the E1/T1 cables between
the BTS and the transmission equipment. There are two types of DDFs
available by installation positions, external DDF and internal DDF. The
internal DDF is further divided into the coaxial DDF (75-ohm) and the
twisted pair DDF (120-ohm). It is placed in the subrack reserved for the
transmission equipment in the cabinet or in the slot reserved for the
transmission unit in the auxiliary equipment.
Coaxial DDF
The coaxial DDF provides the access for eight coaxial E1s. It is 1 U in height and does not
provide the lightning protection function.
