Several things to keep in mind when translating:

Meaning should be conveyed accurately with no
misinterpretation or misleading language
Be aware of the notion register!
Ensure to not losing certainty of meaning in the source
text
No free translation
Do not use everyday language

Rangkuman Modul 11 & 12

1. Sebelum mulai menerjemahkan, bacalah paragraf dua

atau tiga kali agar dapat memahami informasi umum

secara jelas
2. Lakukan pemilihan kata dan bentuk dan kalimat yang
tepat agar terjemahan terdengar wajar
3. Jangan pernah menerjemahkan kata per kata
4. Agar terjemahan dalam bahasa sasaran terdengar
wajar, perhatikan beberapa hal berikut;

Pengunaan frase verba dan ekspresi (istilah, jargon)

Pastikan inti kalimat melalui kata kunci
Jika ada istilah asing yang tidak perlu diterjemahkan, cukup
dicetak miring atau diberika keterangan dalam tanda kurung
