History Palm Oil Mill


BELL Group begun with the acquisition of one palm oil
mill in Batu Pahat, Johor in 1986. Our first venture was
in a small palm oil mill, beginning as a small business
offering conventional crude oil milling services to oil
palm small holders, dealers as well as estates.
In 1995, a subsidiary Kilang Sawit United BELL was
awarded a grant to apply proven technologies in the
conservation of energy. This was the first mill in the
palm oil industry to receive such a grant.
BELL Group was the first palm oil mill to receive a
grant from EC-Asean Cogen Programme in 1995 for full
implementation of cogeneration.

NUT ELEVATOR CONCLUSION


Capacity of elevator is not sufficient because it
just can handle maximum of 11% Nut/FFB ratio
against standard requirement of 14%. This also
implies that nut spillage at the elevator is likely
to occur when there is recycling. In other words,
the elevator cannot do 45 tons per hour milling
capacity. So, for improvement we upgrade or
modify this elevator into standard requirement
(14%). Reducing length bucket to bucket or
reduce speed of elevator.

Boiler Pressure Vessel Modification


Pipe
A pressure vessel is a container designed to hold
gases or liquids at a pressure substantially
different from the ambient pressure
This oil mill also use back pressure vessel to
received boiler steam pressure to convert
mechanical energy to electrical energy. ( Gas
from boiler to turbine)
Other than that , boiler pressure receiver also
transfer steam pressure to sterilization process. (
Fresh Fruit Bunch cook or boil)

Conclusion after
modification

Result show that the steam pressure on the


sterilizer chart more consistent and make
more efficient when fresh fruit bunch do
sterilization process. Figure show consistent
steam pressure chart doing sterilization
process.

Critical Machine Check

Objective - To minimum break down time in
this oil mill.
For information this oil mill have single and
critical line machine. If one of them break
down , this factory will stop the operation or
give high effect in this oil mill operation.
So, one or two worker will responsibility to
check machine condition to avoid breakdown
before oil mill start the operation.

1. List all single line machine in this oil mill
2. Identify single line machine that can cause
breakdown and list into critical line machine
3. Identify and list part of critical line machine
4. Make sure all part of critical line machine have
spare item
5. Do critical line machine check sheet
6. Give some instruction to worker before doing
check sheet
7. Make sure all job done and this check sheet
must sent to mill manager in daily

Conclusion
On the whole, this industrial training was
useful experience for me. I have gained new
knowledge, skills and meet great people
Consequently, I completed my internship
with good impression and experiences and I
say that internship was definitely an
introduction to the actual work field for me
