BASIC GUN SAFETY PROCEDURES

Four Major Rules

Consider every gun as loaded.


Never point your gun to anybody
except to the target.
Always trigger finger out of the
trigger unless you have an intention to
squeeze the trigger.
Be sure of your target and what is
beyond or around it.

Firing Range Rules and Regulations

Shooter/s under the influence of liquor, wine and drugs or similar

intoxicating
substance
is strictly
prohibited in the
range.
The
shooter himself
will be
held liable/responsible
forfiring
any accident
caused by firing resulting to loss of lives or damage to properties

Clear gun at the designated clearing area upon arrival at the


firing range.

Holster gun without magazine and never intent to draw it if youre


not in the designated firing line.

Coordinate and inform the Range Officer before you commence


firing.
Use protective shooting paraphernalia when firing.

After firing, remove magazine, clear gun and hammer down.

Never bring the muzzle of the gun up range, to the left or right
beyond 180 degrees.
Holster your gun.

Correct Sight Alignment


Equal height, equal light. Front sight is aligned to the
rear sight.

Sight Picture
Target and rear sight are blared, front sight is clear.

Trigger Pull
Pull the trigger of the gun by removing first the
slacks/clearance and continue squeezing in a slowly
manner until it fires. Never squeeze the trigger if
front sight is not clear.

Breathing Control
Suspend breathing temporarily.

Follow Through
Take a look always to the front sight of the gun every
after firing to eliminate flinching/anticipating.

Advance Shooting Techniques


Dominant Eye

Stance
Body forwarded a little, gun is placed at the center of
the body at eye level at the same time pointing to
the center of the target, front sight is a little bit
lower but still aligned to the rear sight.

Proper Holding of Firearm (70%-30%)


Extreme high grip, weak hand is stronger than the
strong hand. In holding the grip of the gun, weak
hand is viewed 45 degrees to have a stable
grip/holding of a gun.
