The Noble Quran is very detailed and clearly mentions the

significance of good manners, just like it mentions the
importance of belief, worship, and all our daily affairs.
The Noble Quran mentions several good acts of morality
repeatedly, for example:
Dealing with ones parents in the best manner
Being nice to ones relatives and neighbors
Taking care of orphans and the poor
Being honest
Being sincere in all of ones intentions
Fulfilling ones promises
Treating all people fairly

The most honoured of you in the sight of God (Allah) is the most

Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present
are certain to miss the future. ~ John F. Kennedy
The one constant thing in our life is change. We cannot avoid it and the

more we resist change the tougher our life becomes. Trust me, I know
this because I was very skilled at deflecting change in my life.We are
surrounded by change and it is the one thing that has the most
dramatic impact on our lives. Change has the ability to catch up with
you at some point in your life. There is no avoiding it because it will
find you, challenge you, and force you to reconsider how you live your
life.
Change can come into our lives as a result of a crisis, as a result of
choice or by chance. In either situation we are all faced with having to
make a choice do we make the change or not? I believe it is always
better to make changes in your life when you choose to rather than
being forced to

We however cannot avoid the unexpected events

(crisis) in our lives because it is these events that

challenge our complacency in life. What we can
control when we are experiencing these challenging
events, is how we choose to respond to them.It is
our power of choice that enables us to activate
positive change in our lives.
Acting on our power of choice provides us with more
opportunity to change our lives for the better. The
more opportunities we create to change our lives
the more fulfilled and happier our lives become.

1. Find Meaning In Life
Spend some time trying to sort out what is important in your life and why is
it important. What is it that you want to achieve in your life? What are your
dreams? What makes you happy? Your meaning in life gives you purpose
and sets the direction of how you want to live your life. Without meaning
you will spend the rest of your life wandering through life aimlessly with no
direction, focus, or purpose.
2. Create A Dream Board
When we were children we would daydream all the time. We were skilled at
dreaming and visualizing what we would be when we grew up. We believed
that anything was possible. As we grew into adults we lost our ability to
dream. Our dreams became hidden and once we started to feel like
achieving our dreams was impossible.
A dream board is a great way for us to start believing in your own dreams
again. Seeing our dreams every day on a dream board brings our dreams to
life. Our dreams become real and we start to have believe in the possibility
of achieving these dreams.

3. Set Your Goals To Achieve Your Dreams

Once you know what is important in your life and what your dream life looks
like for you, you need to take action and set your long-term, medium, and
short-term goals. It is acting on these goals that enable you to achieve your
dreams
Remember your goals may change. Always be flexible with setting and
achieving your goals as things in life change and your goals need to reflect
these changes. Its the small steps that you take that create the momentum for
change to happen in your life.
4. Let Go Of Your Regrets
Regrets will only hold you back in life. Regrets are events of the past and if you
spend all your time thinking about the past you will miss the present and the
future. You cannot change what you did or did not do in the past, so let it go.
The only thing you have control over now is how you choose to live your
present and future life.
I had a heap of regrets that were holding me back in my life. I came across the
Balloon Exercise and got rid of my regrets for good. What is it? Its simple
blow up as many balloons as you need. On each balloon write a regret and
then let the balloon go. As the balloon drifts off into the sky say goodbye to
that regret forever. A simple and powerful exercise that works and can change
how you live your life.

5. Choose Some Really Scary Things To Do And Then Do Them

This is all about you choosing to step out of your comfort zone. Public
speaking is one of the most frightening things anyone can do. I was petrified
of public speaking however, I knew that I wanted to be a motivational
speaker. So I joined Toast Masters to overcome my fear of public speaking.
My first speech was terrible, my knees were knocking, I broke out in a sweat
and I couldnt stop shaking. But I did it and the feeling of completing this
speech, even though it was terrible was great. I chose to keep going and now
I earn a living as a motivational speaker. I am still nervous when I get up to
speak however it is an excited nervous and I love it.
Make a list of scary things that you would kind of like to do but are too afraid
to. Put a plan in place and then go do them. Never stop doing scary things
because if you do your life will become one of complacency and comfort.
6. Start Living A Well-Balanced Life
Our health does not remain the same. Our physical, emotional, and spiritual
state changes, as we get older. What we can control however is how we feed
our minds and our bodies. Living a balanced and healthy life builds our
resilience to the physical changes of our body. Exercise is the best way in
which we can attain a positive and optimistic attitude toward life.
Living a healthy, well-balanced life with lots of exercise is a lifestyle choice
that without a doubt will give you a happier more satisfied and fulfilled life.

7. Face Your Fears

Its easy to ignore our fears and hope that they will go away. Unfortunately,
it does not work like that. If youwant to change your life, learn to master
your fears so they cant control you any longer. Our fears are only
thoughts in our minds that are not real but over time we have become to
believe that they are true. It is our fears in life that stop us from living our
life to the fullest. We know when our fears are controlling our lives
because we feel discontent, dissatisfied and unfulfilled.
Once we face our fears we take back our power to choose how we want to
live our lives and when we do this we change our lives forever.
8. Accept You
The only person who is going to create change in your life is you! and to
create that change you have to like you. There will be times in your life
where you will face rejection and there will be people who will not like you
that much. Accepting who you are and loving yourself helps you to move
forward in your life. Putting yourself down all the time and wishing you
could be better will only lead you to a life of unhappiness and discontent.
Find your courage, love yourself, and step out and do something crazy.
Dont worry about what anyone thinks or whether it is the right thing to
do. In your heart if it feels right, act on it and go create the life you love.

9. Live In The Moment

Many of us tend to think that the grass is greener on the other
side. Often, we get to the other side of the fence we find that
this is not so. The motivation to change our lives comes from
our desire to be happy.We are often so busy focusing on our
pursuit of happiness that we miss the joy of actually living in
the moment. Our desire to have happiness in our lives is a
desire of a future state not of the present. We become so
consumed with all our problems and discontent in the present
we miss the precious beauty of the moment.
Sitting on the beach eating an ice-cream with your best friend
or partner is a moment of happiness. Appreciating and
showing gratitude on a daily basis is experiencing happiness in
the moment. Helping those in need brings joy and happiness
to us. This is what living our life in the moment is all about
dont miss these moments because you are too busy focusing
on your pursuit of happiness.

10. ExperienceThe Joy Of Learning

Each time you learn something new you gain more knowledge
and with more knowledge comes more confidence.Learning helps
us to be more adaptable and flexible to new situations. Learning
encourages us to be more creative and innovative in our thinking
and we are therefor more comfortable with the unknown.
Reading books is a great way for us to learn. To fully embrace the
joy of learning, never stop reading nor searching for more

Spiritual wellness refers to the practice of

action toward bettering both ourselves and
the world around us.
The National Wellness Institute highlights
spirituality as one of the six dimensions of

Spiritual Wellness
The word "yoga" means union, and the practice integrates mind,
body and soul together. It is used to care for the entire body, and is
beneficial for overall health, along with many different illnesses and
conditions.
Spiritual Wellness is a personal matter involving values and
beliefs that provide a purpose in our lives. While different
individuals may have different views of what spiritualism is, it is
generally considered to be the search for meaning and purpose in
human existence, leading one to strive for a state of harmony with
oneself and others while working to balance inner needs with the
rest of the world. The National Wellness Institute says spiritual
wellness follows the following tenets:

 It is better to ponder the meaning of life for

ourselves and to be tolerant of the beliefs of

others than to close our minds and become
intolerant.
It is better to live each day in a way that is
consistent with our values and beliefs than to
do otherwise and feel untrue to ourselves.

Reaching Spiritual Wellness

It is important for everyone to explore what they believe is their

own sense of meaning and purpose.

The path to spiritual wellness may involve meditation, prayer,
affirmations, or specific spiritual practices that support your
connection to a higher power or belief system. Yoga and
meditation can also help you develop spiritual wellness.
Having compassion, the capacity for love and forgiveness,
altruism, joy, and fulfillment help you enjoy your spiritual
health. Your religious faith, values, beliefs, principles, and
morals define your spirituality.
If you are a person engaged in the process of spiritual wellness,
you are willing and able to transcend yourself in order to
question the meaning and purpose in your life and the lives of
others. In addition, you seek to find harmony between that
which lies within and the social and physical forces that come
from outside.

The Creation of the Heavens and

the Earth
Creation of the World
Heaven and Earth were one indivisible unit until God's act of
creation split them in two. These separated parts are described as
having a smoke-like form. From this formless matter, creation
took six long spans of time, according to the Quran, instead of the
six days stated in Genesis. Some Muslim scholars see parallels
between the Quran's version of events and the scientific Big Bang
theory due to the suggestion that creation was an evolutionary
process over a long period of time. During these spans of time
God made everything in the heavens and earth, from animals to
angels and the earth's vegetation that included the grape, the
olive and the palm tree. The Quran emphasizes the idea that
God's creation is for the material and spiritual welfare of human
beings, and that God created humans to be his deputies on earth.

"Verily in the heavens and the earth are signs for those

who believe. And in the creation of yourselves, and the

fact that animals are scattered (through the earth), are
signs for those of assured faith. And in the alternation of
night and day, and that fact that Allah sends down
sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the
earth after its death, and in the change of the winds, are
signs for those who are wise" (45:3-5).
The Quran states that "Allah created the heavens and
the earth, and all that is between them, in six days"
(7:54

THE DAYS OF CREATION IN THE

QURAN
The Jews came to the Prophet and asked him about the creation of the

heavens and the earth. He said: God created the earth on Sunday and
Monday. He created the mountains and the uses they possess on
Tuesday. On Wednesday, He created trees, animals, water, cities and
the cultivated barren land.
These are four (days). He continued (citing the Qur'an): 'Say: Do you really
not believe in the One Who created the earth in two days, and set up others
like Him? That is the Lord of the worlds. He made it firmly anchored
(mountains) above it and blessed it and decreed that it contain the amount
of food it provides, (all) in four days, equally for those asking'- for those who
ask. On Thursday, He created the heavens. On Friday, He created the
stars, the sun, the moon, and the angels, until three hours
remained. In the first of these three hours He created the terms (of human
life), who would live and who would die. In the second, He cast harm upon
everything that is useful for mankind. And in the third, (He created) Adam
(pbuh) after 'Asr on Friday; the last creation at the last hour of the hours of
Friday, ie. Between afternoon and night. and had him dwell in Paradise.

He commanded Iblis (satan) to prostrate himself before

Adam, and He drove Adam out of Paradise at the end of the
hour. When the Jews asked: What then, Muhammad? He
said: 'Then He sat straight upon the Throne.'
The Jews said: You are right, if you had finished, they said,
with: Then He rested. Whereupon the Prophet got very
angry, and it was revealed: 'We have created the heavens
and the earth and what is between them in six days, and
fatigue did not touch Us. Thus be patient with what you
say.'"
He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days,
then established Himself on the Throne. He knows what
enters within the heart of the earth, and what comes forth
out of it, what comes down from heaven, and what mounts
up to it. And He is with you wherever you may be. And Allah

Belief in the Angels is a fundamental part of Iman (faith), just like the
belief in Tawheed/Tauhid (Oneness of Allah) and the Risalah (Prophethood). .
Below are the names and functions of the 10 leading Angels (alayhum
salam).
Jibril(Gabriel): To deliver the Divine Revelations from Allah
(Subhanahu wa Taala) to His chosen Messengers from among the
prophets (alayhum salam).
Mikail(Michael): To manage mans mundane necessities, bring forth
rain and oversee the cultivation of crops.
Israfil(Rafael) : To blow the Trumpet: once, for the destruction of the
universe; and again, for the Resurrection of all accountable beings to
face Judgment Day.
Izrail(Azrael) : Angel of Death, the most fearsome of them all, who
does not delay nor expedite the hour of claiming the soul.

 Maalik: Guardian of Jahannam (Hell-fire), an unwelcome

sight, for the unfortunate and wretched dwellers of the

eternal fire.
Ridwan: Guardian of Paradise, who welcomes the Prophets
(alayhum salam) and the righteous who have been blessed
by Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala).
Munkar : To question the dead on issues relating to his/her
God, prophet Salla Allahu taala alayhi wa Sallam, religion,
belief, deeds, etc. Questioning in the grave.
Nakir: To question the dead on issues relating to his/her
God, prophet Salla Allahu taala alayhi wa Sallam, religion,
belief, deeds, etc.
Raqib: Sits on mans right shoulder to record his/her good
deeds.
Atid: Sits on mans left shoulder to record his/her evil

Together Raqib and Atid are called the

Kirama Katibeen.
(Remember) that the two receivers (recording
Angels) receive (each human being), one
sitting on the right and one on the left (to note
his or her actions. Not a word does he (or she)
utter but there is a watcher by him ready (to
record it). (Quran 50:16-18) In another verse
(82:11), these Angels are referred to as
Kiraman Katibin or honorable scribes.

Angel hierarchy
There is no standard hierarchical organization in Islam
that parallels the division into different "choirs" or spheres
, as hypothesized and drafted by early medieval
Christian theologians. Most[who?] Islamic scholars agree that
this is an unimportant topic in Islam, simply because
angels have a simple existence in obeying God already,
especially since such a topic has never been directly
addressed in the Quran. However, it is clear that there is a
set order or hierarchy that exists between angels, defined
by the assigned jobs and various tasks to which angels are
commanded by God. Some scholars suggest that Islamic
angels can be grouped into fourteen categories as follows,
of which numbers two-five are considered archangels.

Due to varied methods of translation from Arabic and

the fact that these angels also exist in Christian
contexts and the Bible, several of their Christian and
phonetic transliteral names are listed:
Jibrail/Jibril (Judeo-Christian, Gabriel), the angel of revelation. Jibril is the

archangel responsible for revealing the Quran to Muhammad, verse by

verse. Jibrail is widely known as the angel who communicates with (all
of) the prophets and also for coming down with God's blessings during
the night of Laylat al-Qadr ("The Night of Divine Destiny (Fate)"). Jibril is
mentioned by name in the Quran.[3]
Israfil or Israafiyl (Judeo-Christian, Uriel), is an archangel in Islam who
will blow the trumpet twice [or thrice] at the end of time. According to
the hadith, Israfil is the angel responsible for signaling the coming of
Qiyamah (Judgment Day) by blowing a horn. The blowing of the trumpet
is described in many places in the Quran. It is said that the first blow will
bring all to attention, will end all life,[4] while the second blow will bring
all human beings back to life again to meet their Lord for their final
judgement. Those who say it is three blows, say the first one will cause
everyone to be startled. The second: everyone will die; and the third will
be that of resurrection.

Mikail (Judeo-Christian, Michael),[5] who

provides nourishments for bodies and

souls. Mikail is often depicted as the
archangel of mercy who is responsible for
bringing rain and thunder to Earth. He is
also responsible for the rewards doled out
to good people in this life.
'Azrael/'Azraaiyl also known as Malak almaut (Judeo-Christian, Azrael), the
angel of death. He is responsible for
parting the soul from the body. He is only

THE STORY OF ADAM AND EVE

And God said to the angels: Verily, I am going to place mankind
generations after generations on earth. They said: Will You place therein
those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, while we glorify You
with praises and thanks and sanctify You. God said: I know that which you
do not know. (Quran 2:30)
The First Man is Honoured
And God said, to the Angels:
And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: I am going to create a
human (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. So when I
have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then
you fall down prostrate to him. (Quran 38:71-72)
God honoured the first humman, Adam, in countless ways. Allah blew his
soul into him, He fashioned him with His own hands and He ordered the
Angels to bow down before him. And God said to the Angels:....Prostrate
to Adam and they prostrated except Iblees (Satan).... (Quran 7:11)

dam (Arabic: , translit.dam) is believed to have been

the first human being and the first prophet on Earth in Islam.
[1] Adam's role as the father of the human race is looked
upon by Muslims with reverence. Muslims also refer to his
wife, Eve (Hawa), as the "mother of mankind". [2] Muslims see
Adam as the first Muslim, as the Qur'an states that all the
prophets preached the same faith of submission to God.[3]
And Allah is described as calling mankind Muslims
(submitters) in scriptures before and in Quran. [4] Moreover,
Abraham is described in the Qur'an as praying to Allah to
raise Muslims from his progeny (2:128). Adam's story is told
in the Qur'an in numerous places, though his Qur'anic
narrative differs from that in the Torah in some aspects

An Overview of Creation
The Qur'an and hadith give the same account of the
creation of Adam and Eve. Synthesizing the Qur'an with
Sunni hadith can produce the following account. According
to the Qur'an, when Allah informed the angels that he was
going to put a successor on Earth, they questioned whether
the human would cause blood shed and damage, but He
told them that He knew what they did not.[5] He created
Adam from clay and He breathed life into him. Hadith add
that he was named Adam after the clay he was made out of,
or the skin (adim) of the earth

Returning to the Qur'an, when Allah (God) asked all the

angels to prostrate before Adam, they all obeyed, except
for a jinn named Iblis, present among the angels. He said,
"I am made from fire, when Adam is from clay. I am better
than him. I am not going to prostrate before him.
Sunni hadith say that while Adam was sleeping, God took a
rib from him and from it He created Eve; however, while
the creation of Adam and Eve is referred to in the Qur'an,
the exact method of creation is not specified.[6] The
Qur'an then says that God commanded that Adam and Eve
not eat from one tree in the garden of eden, but Iblis was
able to convince them to taste it. They then

began to cover themselves because they now knew that
they were naked.[8] For this, God banished Adam and Eve to
earth; non-canonical Sunni hadith say that fruits were turned
to thorns and pregnancy became dangerous. Non-canonical
Sunni hadith also say that Adam and Eve were cast down far
apart, so that they had to search for each other.[6]
In Islamic theology, it is not believed that Adam's sin is
carried by all of his children.[9] Hadith say that once Adam
was on earth, God taught him how to plant seeds and bake
bread. This was to become the way of all of Adam's children.
[10] Adam proceeded to live for about 1000 years,
though this has been a topic of debate.

The Significance and Importance of

Adam
According to the story of Adam, humankind has learned everything from
Adam. He was the first to learn to plant, harvest, and bake as well as the
first to be told how to repent and how to properly bury someone. [6] God
also revealed the various food restrictions and the alphabet to Adam. [10]
He was made the first prophet and he was taught 21 scrolls and was able
to write them himself.[10] Adam was also created from earth.
It is well known that earth produces crops, supports animals, and
provides shelter, among many other things. Earth is very important to
human kind, so being created from it makes them very distinct. [8]
According to some Hadith, the various races of people are even due to
the different colors of soil used in creating Adam. The soil also
contributed to the idea that there are good people and bad people and
everything in between in the world. [11] Adam is an important figure in
many other religions besides Islam.[12] The story of Adam varies slightly
across religions, but manages to maintain a general theme and structure.
[12 ]

Descendants of Adam
Though it is up for debate, it has been said
that Eve went through 120 pregnancies with
Adam and each of these consisted of a set of
twins: a boy and a girl.[10] According to several
sources, God took all of Adam's progeny from
his back while they were still in heaven. He
asked each of them "am I not your lord?" as
read in Q 7:172 and they all replied yes. [10] For
this reason, it is believed that all humans are
born with an innate knowledge of God.

The most famous of Adam's children are Cain

and Abel. Both the brothers were asked to

offer up individual sacrifices to God. God
accepted Abel's sacrifice because of Abel's
righteousness and Cain, out of jealousy, threw
a rock at Abel, leading to the first murder in
human history: the murder of Abel by Cain. [10]
As Adam grieved his son, he would preach to
his children about God and faith in Him.[11]
When Adam's death grew near, he appointed
his son Seith as his successor.[11]

Adam in the Qur'an

The story of Adam and creation is pieced throughout the Qur'an.
There are references in suras 2, 4, 5, 7, 15, 20, 21, 38 and others.
According to the Qur'an, God Created humankind out of clay,[13]
shaped it to a form and then commanded the angels to bow
(submit) to Adam. Iblis (Devil) refused out of pride[14] and was
banished from Jannah (Heaven). Iblis was one of the jinn to begin
with. According to the Qur'an, God had already decided before the
creation of Adam that mankind (Adam and his progeny) would be
placed on earth. Islam does not ascribe mankind's life on earth as
a punishment, rather as part of God's plan. "Verily, I am going to
place mankind generations after generations on earth. They (the
angels) said: Will You place therein those who will make mischief
therein and shed blood, while we (the angels) glorify You with
praises and thanks and sanctify You. God said: I know that which
you do not know."

Prophet Adam (peace be on

him)
Adam is an Arabic word for man. He was the progenitor of human
race. He is reckoned to be the first prophet by the Muslims. He
was also the first man whom Almighty Allah had created from the
elements of clay. The Holy Qur'an affirms:
O' mankind! Surely We created you from dust." (30:20)
The gradual process of man's physical development has been
referred to in the following Verses of the Holy Qur'an:
"He began the creation of man from dust. Then He made his
progeny of an extract of water held in light esteem. Then
He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit
and made for you ears and eyes and heart." (32: 7-9)

According to the latest scientific researches

the man has been created from clay with all

its element and their inherent properties. It
is discovered by a chemical analysis of the
human body that a defect occurs in its
normal
functioning when the quantity of any of
these element gets diminished. In such
case vitamins are used to supplement the
deficiency and restore normal health.

The Creation of Prophet Adam:

Before the creation of mortal, Almighty Allah directed all the
angels to assemble. Thousands upon thousands of angels
(created from light) and Jinns (created from fire) gathered in
groups. They bowed respectfully in the presence of Almighty
Allah. The Creator of the universe declared that he intended to
create the man and sought their counsel. The angels and Iblis
(Satan) disapproved the idea and pointed out that human beings
would cause disorder on the earth. They would make mischief and
shed blood indiscriminately. The Holy Qur'an gives a description
of this event in the following Verses:
"And when your Lord said to the angels: I am about to
appoint a vicegerent in the earth. They said: Will you
place therein such as will cause disorder in it or shed blood
? We celebrate your praise and extol your holy names. He
answered: I know what you know not." (2:30)

Angels were asked to make Obeisance to Adam:

Allah taught Adam the names of all things and inculcated
into his mind the knowledge of their properties. The Holy
Qur'an says:
"And He taught Adam the names of all things; then
presenting them to the angels, He said: Tell Me the
names of these if you are right." (2: 31)
The angels did not know their names and said:
"Glory be to You. We have no knowledge except what You
have taught us. Surely, You are Knowing, the Wise." (2: 32)

After that Allah questioned Adam in the presence of all angels about
the names of different objects. He gave correct answers on the basis
of this superiority. Allah asked all the angels to bow as a mark of
respect to Adam who was created so miraculously. The Holy Qur'an
affirms: "0' angels! Fall down making obeisance to Adam"
(15:29)
Angels Prostrated but Iblis Refused:
When the angels heard the Commandment of Almighty Allah, they all
complied without hesitation. They bowed with respect and admiration
to the new creation and that was Adam. However Iblis (Satan) did not
surrender on various pretexts and stood still. The Holy Qur'an says:
"And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam,
they did obeisance, not so Iblis, he refused and was haughty
and he was of the: rejecters." (2:34)

Challenge of Iblis:
Iblis disobeyed Allah and became defiant. He arrogantly refused to
accept the authority of a creature who was made of rubbish. Iblis
thought himself superior to human being. As a result, God expelled
Satan from the Garden of Bliss and deprived him of all Divine favours.
Satan requested Almighty Allah to allow him to exist until the Day of
Judgment. I would bring most of the descendants of Adam under my
sway. I would lead them astray from the Right Path. Allah gave him
respite. The conversation between God and Iblis has been narrated in
the Holy Qur'an as follows:
"Iblis said: Give me respite till the Resurrection Day. Allah
said: Be you among those who are given respite. He said:
Because You have thrown me out of the way, I will certainly lie
in wait for them on Your Straight Path. Then will assault them
from before them and behind them, from their right and from
their left, nor will You find most of them grateful." (7: 14-18)

Devil is, in fact, an evil spirit which temps the man

to indulge in sins. It invites the heart to do bad
deeds and disobey Allah. It tries to weaken our
sense of morality but if we are spiritually too
strong to yield to its temptations, we become
immune from all sins. Those who follow the
Commandments of Allah, invite God's grace to
protect them. On the other hand those who
deliberately follow the wrong way, are responsible
because they put themselves into the hands of
Evil Spirit.

Hawa Created:
In order to remove the lonesomeness of Adam, a
female mate named Hawa (Eve) was created. The
Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and his wife
Hawa were given a place in the Garden (of Bliss) to
reside. The Holy Qur'an affirms:
"And O' Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the
Garden (of Bliss) and eat therefrom wherever
you will but approach not this tree lest you
should be: among the wrong-doers." (7: 20)

Trial of Prophet Adam:

The Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and his wife Eve
continued enjoying each others company and carefully
avoiding that specific prohibited tree. Iblis became very
jealous when he saw the favours of the Almighty Allah on the
Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and he began to devise
ways and means to humiliate them. He kept on making evil
suggestions to the couple in a sneaky way. He tried to
persuade them to approach the prohibited tree. One day the
Iblis sympathetically said to them:
"Your Lord has only forbidden you this tree lest you
should become angels or immortals, and he swore to
them saying: Surely, I am a sincere counsellor unto
you. So he beguiled them by deceit." (7:22)

On hearing this both Prophet Adam (peace be

upon him) and Eve became curious. They started
wondering as to why God did not want them to
approach the specific tree. This temptation
gradually became stronger but Allah guided them
alright and warned that not to be taken in by the
evil suggestions of Iblis. The Holy Qur'an says:
"Then We said: O' Adam! Verily, this Iblis is
an enemy to you and your wife, so let him
not get you both out of the Garden so that
you are landed in misery." (20: 117)

The Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and his wife used to
live happily in the Garden of Bliss. They were endowed with
the knowledge to discriminate between good and evil. They
were also warned of the power of evil. They overpowered
all sorts of evil temptations at first and tried hard to ward off
the influence of Satan. But he made numerous attempts to
misguide them off and on. Finally Satan succeeded in his
mission and made them approach that specific tree.
Instantly evil consequences appeared. The Holy Qur'an
says:
"When they both tasted of the tree, their private
parts became manifest to each other and they both
began to cover themselves with the leaves of the
trees (in the garden), and their Lord called them
saying: Did I not forbid you both from that tree and
tell you that Satan was your avowed enemy. They
said: Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If you
forgive us not and bestow not upon us Your mercy,

The Prophet Adam and Hawa Feel Penitence:

The Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and Eve
followed the temptations of Iblis and were deprived of
the heavenly bliss. They were, however, overflowed
with grief. They requested Almighty Allah to forgive
them.
Allah, the Most Merciful accepted their repentance and
chose them for His mercy. At the same time He
dispelled them from the Garden of Bliss. They became
ordinary people. They had to live like us for only a
certain span of life on this earth. They would be
recreated again to be judged for their actions on the Day
of Judgement.

Allah gives Directions:

They lived for many years. Allah sent directions and guidance
to the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him). He taught others
about the religion of Allah. He advised his followers to do
good and avoid evils. He told the people to act upon the
Commandments of Allah and follow his guidance. It would
serve the purpose of shield to do away with the attacks of the
devil. Allah says:
"Whoso shall follow My Guidance, on them shall come
no fear, nor shall they grieve. But those who will
disbelieve and treat Our Signs as lies, they shall be the
inmates of the fire and they shall abide therein." (2:
39, 40)
