SIGNIFICANCE TESTS
A significance test estimates the likelihood that an observed
study result (e.g., a difference between two groups) is due to
chance.
In other words, a significance test is used to find out whether
a study result which is observed in a sample can be
considered as a result which exists in the population from
which the sample was drawn.
