RESULTS & FINDINGS

Although India has progressed a lot since 1950s with respect to tourism, Jharkhand is still way behind the
development and Ranchi, as the capital city since 2000 is still tacking behind. There is a lack of
appreciation of the holistic approach to tourism development which takes into account the linkages
between environment and pressure of tourists.
Tourism is the responsibility of the state governments; the central government lends all help to develop
tourism. The state department of Tourism in extending financial assistance for improving tourism
infrastructural facilities like Yatri Niwas, tourist lodges, wayside facilities, restaurants, cafeterias, tourist,
bungalows et. It also extends financial assistance for adventure sports activities, tourist transport, tented
accommodation etc.

The main thrust during the eight five-year plan had been:
Development of selected tourist places / areas
Diversification from culture oriented tourism to holiday and leisure tourism
Development of trekking, sports, wildlife and teach resort tourism.
Exploring new source markets in regions and countries having cultural affinity
Restoration of national heritage projects.
Launching of national image building and marketing plan in key markets.
Providing expensive accommodation in different tourist centers.
Improving service efficiency in public sector corporations and.
Streamlining of facilitation procedures of as parts in Ranchi.

CONCLUSION
I think tourism sector is considered as very essential factor for the economic improvement of Ranchi. It is one of
the greatest rising and flowishing industries of the globe. Ranchi is really a great example for the enceptional to
the development and ; think tourism is the next main foreign enchange earner in Ranchi.
Ranchi which has got a several scenic beauty and a hub of waterfall like Dasssam fall, Hundru fall, Janha all are
still unknown by the people. It has got many potential for development but government is not taking up laws,
sche4mes and action to make it s better place. As Ranchi is in the plaeteau area, it can be developed as a hill stations. It has got a visitor - freindly traditions varied life styles and cultural heritage and colourful fair and
festivals held abiding attractions for the tourists but they are yet to be developed and innovate.

Some of the major constraint in the development of tourism in India is the non- availability of adequate
infrastructure including adequate air seat capacity, accessibility to tourist destinations, accommodation and
trained manpower in sufficient number, Transportation system is also not well developed. Government
should take up plans and action to develop it as a Tourist place. In some places, parks poor hygieic
conditions and incidents of touting and harassment of tourists in some places are factors that contribute to
poor visitor experience.

Tourism in Ranchi can be a great opportunity for generating Income and Employment, it will help in
increasing the country's "G.D.P." It will also be a "foreign Exchange Earning."
Tourism in Ranchi will also help "Preservation of National Heritage and Environment" but this concern is also
not taken place by the government. Ranchi has that greenery and mesmerising, alluring scene which
promote peace and stability but the government is not taking action regarding this.
