Research area
Role of Six-Sigma DMAIC (define measure
analyze improve control) methodology to improve
the line efficiency of the filling lines in the Coca
Cola Beverages Pakistan Ltd.
Problem statement
"To improve the Performance of the krons filling
lines by using DMAIC methodology".
If we will not implement the DMAIC
methodologies in our organization, it will
increase the waste; people will not satisfy with the
current environment, unsafe environment will
increase etc.
Research objectives
Following are the objective to conduct this
research:
Reduce cost
Reduce consumer complaints
Improve productivity
Increase capacity ,utilization ,availability,
flexibility
Rationale of research
Provide a standard, data driven approach to
problem solving.
Factual decision making
Proactive change management
Holistic approach to business
Accountability, predictability
Variables of research
Independent variables
Dependent variable

DEPENDENT VARIABLE
Hypothesis
H1: There is significant relation between Performance of
the filling lines and Define phase.
H2: There is significant relation between Performance of
the filling lines and Measure phase.
H3: There is significant relation between Performance of
the filling lines and Analyze phase.
H4: There is significant relation between Performance of
the filling lines and Improve phase.
H5: There is significant relation between Performance of
the filling lines and Control phase.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
A survey type cross-sectional quantitative
research.
Data collection method
Primary
Secondary
The required data for the proposed study
collected through well-structured
questionnaire
Sampling
Population
In the given research study, the population will be
employees of CCBPL.
Sample Size
For the present study sample size will consist of 100
respondents (staff of CCBPL.
Sampling
In order to select the sample from the target population
i.e. CCBPL, Non-Probability Convenience
(purposive) sampling technique is used.
Research instrument
A questionnaire (in English language)
designed to collect the necessary
information. The questions type closeended.
Recommendations
According to our research the Coca-Cola limited
should apply DMAIC in their bottle line to
increase its bottle line efficiency.
Training should provide to all employees on
DMAIC.
Trainings should be provided by trained
professionals who have full knowledge and
experience of six sigma and its tools.
Conclusion
Six Sigma methodologies focuses on recognizing
and removing causes of defects and errors in
processes that manufacture products intended to
meet or even exceed customer expectations.
Measurements used in this process are based on
process strategies emphasizing reductions in
variations which hypothetically elicited natural
improvements in the process itself.
Conclusion
One of the biggest advantages of using Six
Sigma lies in the methodology statements
which assert that no project shall be
approved if a bottom line impact has not
been clearly defined.
Conclusion
Six sigma also help;
Emphasis on achieving attainable goals.
Implementing projects that will produce results.
Effective use of scientific techniques and precise
tools.
Infuses upper management with passion and
dedication.
Integrated concepts benefiting employees and
customers
Conclusion
Using information that has real world
meaning
In addition, improvements are measured
using statistical ratios that can be
empirically modified to reflect financial
results.
