Under K9, school facilities and curriculum will be enhanced
where teaching and learning of the Integrated Living Skills
and Basic Vocational Education subject will be emphasised
to provide students with greater hands-on experience
Providing scholarship for students to pursue tertiary

Implementation of 1Asrama and Asrama Desa programmes

More teaching facilities

CONCLUSION
Education is an investment for the future of
the children, youth and the society as a
whole. Thus it is a fundamental human right
and the right of children regardless of their
ethnic origin, religious, racial and cultural
orientation.

APPENDIX

Dropping school
Kajian menunjukkan hampir 50 peratus murid orang
Asli berhenti sekolah selepas tahun enam (Fatan
Hamamah,2008), sebanyak 39.1 peratus orang Asli
yang tamat darjah enam tetapi tidak mendaftar
tingkatan satu (JHEOA, 2008) dan hanya 30 peratus
murid Orang Asli menamatkan pendidikan sekolah
menengah, iaitu kurang separuh daripada purata
kebangsaan (Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, 2012).
