1. EE Performance Indicators and


Benchmarks

Benchmarkingis comparing one's business processes


and performance metrics to industry bests and best
practices from other companies.
Objective is to facilitate EE implementation by SMEs
themselves

Benchmarking EE performance (National and International);
Potential for EE improvement
Applicable EE Technologies and Best Industrial practices;
means to realize the potential

Targeting 3 Sectors: Paper, Ceramic and Forging?

awareness about available EE technologies; various

3. Promoting Use of EE equipments

Objective is to promote use of Energy Efficient


equipments
Targeting LT electrical motors 5-20 HP in SMEs
situated in Delhi NCR area
Why Motors: Widely used, mostly nonstandarized, poorly maintained
Project Contribution: Removing barriers such
as cost and availability; establishing benefits
Distribution of 10,000 IE3 motors ranging from 520 HP resulting into .

for Training on Energy Efficiency (CETEE), Chennai

around 20 participants per programme

5. Energy Management
System

Objective is to make energy efficiency part of main


business stream of SMEs

Structured and systematic approach towards lowering energy


intensity
To sustain the initiatives taken in this or other similar projects

Follows the same architecture as for Quality and


Environment widely followed in SMEs, therefore, easy to
implement
Target is to assist 40 units (3-4 units from all project
cluster) to implement EnMS as per ISO-50001 and use
them as demonstration cases
The cost of technical assistance is to be borne by the
project

6. Web Portal & Helpline

Procurement Process: SSS method

Strengthening the existing knowledge base and


making it available to more and more stakeholders
Promotion of web portal and helpline via online media,
SMS campaigns and relevant events
Liasoning with other GEF EE projects to provide
updates to be uploaded
Proposal for a mobile site for better outreach
