CV
15 seconds
Is your own personal marketing tool, as it provides the frst impression that a prospective
employer has of you.
Simplicity is always best. No fluffy language and simple lay out. - unless you are applying for a
graphic design position. Avoid using too fancy and complicated decorative fonts and colors.
Make it easy for the employer to read and fnd the relevant information he or she requires.
A good CV is clear, concise and easy to read. Make use of bullet points and headings to provide
a clear framework and make the information easy to follow.
English or Danish ?
Make sure any breaks in your CV are explained (e.g. 2005-2006 Traveling in the States), to give
a full account of both your career history and what you were doing when you were not
employed.
It might sound obvious, but be honest. Never try to play with dates and jobs to hide periods of
unemployment. The most basic of checks will expose your deceit and ruin any chance of getting
the job.
