PEMDAS
When evaluating, you must follow this order of operations:
Parenthesis ( )
Exponent 1, 1, 1^...
Multiplication 11 / 1 x 1, ...
Division , ,
Addition 1+1, 1+2,
Subtraction 1-1, 1-2,

PARENTHETICAL DEVICE
Use parentheses to help you remember the order of operations when
evaluating.
ex. 347+65
=(347)+[6(5)]
=(84)+(625)
=(84)+(150)
= 234

If there is a constant difference or pattern (), (between each value,

it is a linear equation.

SLOPE-INTERCEPT FORM
From the pattern that you found with the table of values, you can
create an equation.
This equation always comes in the form y = mx+b where..
x = any given x-coordinate of one point
y = any given y-coordinate of one point
m = the constant difference from the table
b = the y-value when x = 0 (y-intercept)

SLOPE-INTERCEPT FORM
Its called the slope-intercept form because it contains the slope and
the y-intercept.
We know that the y-intercept is the value of y when x = 0, but what is
the slope?
If
Then m =
