Aims
- The design process can be applied to ships
-The multi-disciplinary nature of the ship design process
- The ship design problem and contemporary influences on ship design
- Ship design methods for deadweight, capacity linear and rule ships
-Design considerations related to the type of cargo and operation of the
vessel
-Hull form design and hydrodynamic optimization for sustainable
operation
-The synthesis of a ship design solution

-The design process and the main technological, operational and economic
considerations that influence different ship types
-Design procedures and practice for estimating principal dimensions, hull form
parameters, light ship and deadweight components
-Synthesis of hull lines, form distortion methods and mathematical representation of ship
lines and surfaces

-The hydrodynamic influences on hull lines in still water and waves

- Less than 100 pages
- Plus drawings, trim , stability data, etc
