1521 occurred the First Mass
and First Baptisms in our Land;
2021 recalls the first coming
(unang pagdating) and the first
receiving (unang pagtanggap) of
the Gospel of Christ and of his
Church by the Filipinos 500
years ago.

INTRODUCTION:

The entire Country is

preparing and has been
preparing since 10 years
ago in 2011 for this 500
years of our
Christianization.

Pananampalatayang
Katoliko at Kristiyano
sa loob ng 500 years.
What does this include?

We stand in awe and wonder

at this generous gift of Faith.
And who are we to be
bestowed with such grace?
We offer to God our
humble gratitude and as
a people exclaim our
song of wonder and of
praise.

2 We look at and follow Jesus who

went around doing good; we
listen to his words and observe
his deeds.
We believe, hope,
and love like
Christ who lived
poor. Thus did we
resolve that the
Church in our Land

3 We re-awaken our hopes and

dreams and aspirations as a people

to be a truly "renewed Christian
Society, life, and culture
. . . based on the Gospel
Beatitudes, suffused with
Christian values of love and
peace, of joy and hospitality,
of patience and Justice, to be
one and become an
evangelized and evangelizing

3 serving the poor, and reaching

out to peoples of all beliefs, so as
to make our Country

CONCLUSION:
All of the above are the
grace "that go before
and follow after" that
we ask for at our Opening
Prayer and the testimony
of the Spirit Himself
about Jesus, the Son of
