WHO ARE WE
A student team conducting research in the Space Sciences
Working with various academic and government organizations on
numerous projects

A 501(c)3 non-profit organization

PHILOSOPHY

Science is a window into the universe. How can we as


scientists keep this beautiful treasure to ourselves? The joy
of research and investigation becomes even more exciting
when shared with others. Then, we all can experience the joy
of the wonders and mysteries before us .

A BRIEF HISTORY
Founded in 1978 by Prof. Jim Moravec

IAAS Students
Contributed to and assisted in the development of astronomy
curricula for kindergarten students through adults
Developed education programs for various institutions
Sought-after as international speakers on the topics of youth
astronomy research and scientific programs
Actively recruited by post-secondary institutions for undergraduate,
graduate and post-graduate programs
Hired by US and international government agencies, as well as
space science-related corporations worldwide

Educational Degrees Earned


Bachelors More than 90% earned at least a Bachelors Degree.
Several students accepted & completed undergrad studies at US
Service Academies.
Advanced Degrees More than 60% earned Advanced Degrees.
4 students earn Double Doctorate Degrees.
1 Student earned a Double Doctorate from Harvard.

More than 1,000 students have completed the program
