INTEGRIN
Structure of Integrin
Integrins are a family of cell surface
adhesion receptors. The whole integrin is a
heterodimer consisting of chains and
chains.
Both
of
integrin
subunit
are
transmembrane glycoprotein, each with a
single
hydrophobic
transmembrane
segment. Integrin 1 is expressed widely in
lymphocytes and leukocytes.

INTEGRIN
Function of Integrin
In platelets, lymphocytes, and fibroblasts
integrin triggers intracellular signaling,
often in synergy with other receptors.
Integrins function as the sending signals
into the pathway secondmessenger cell.
This signal is met by signals receptor
agonist or a G protein couple receptors
are protein tyrosine kinase partner.

INTEGRIN
Role of integrins in angiogenesis of burns
During the healing process of burns, the
area of the basement membrane of blood
vessels express several adhesive proteins,
including von Willebrand factor, fibronectin,
and fibrin. Also some members of the
integrin family of adhesion receptors are
expressed on the surface of a cell culture of
smooth muscle and endothelial cells.

INTEGRIN
Overall show that some endothelial v integrins
involved in angiogenesis induced by injury in humans
with complementary functions potentially and that
v3 has an important functional role.
If this integrin ligation to ekstraselnya ligand inhibited,
the cells proliferating vascular undergo apoptosis, is
accompanied by the induction of p53 activity,
increased expression of p21WAF1 / CIP1 and a decrease
in the ratio of Bcl-2: Bax. This suggests that the
interaction between integrins and extracellular matrix
regulate the proliferation and survival.
