Rules and Regulation


A total of 5% of the continuous assessment for coursework is allocated for
class participation and performance. Students performance in the lab
include criteria such as attendance, initiative, puntuality, housekeeping and
techniques.
Marks will be deducted for late submissions of lab reports or assignments,
(less than half of full marks will be obtained automatically after due date)

Attendance is COMPULSORY (lectures, tutorials, lab practicals)


75% attendance at least for local students or students will be barred from
examination. Skipping of 3 classes & above will receive notification of
warning and parents/guardians will be informed.
80% at least for international students, or students will be barred from
examination. Skipping of any 3 class & above will receive notification of
warning and international office will be informed.

Punctuality important Students arriving late than more than half of


class period is considered absent. E.g. 30 minutes late for tutorial (1 hr).
