Medicinal Plants
They are abundant in the Philippines.
They can be easily cultivated in the backyard,
in pots, on farms, and in the fields.
They abound in mountains and forests .
They are less expensive than the medicines
found in drugstores.
The proper and safe use of medicinal plants
will help the government to reduce importation
of expensive drugs.

There are various ways of preparing medicinal plants for effective and
beneficial use. To ensure effective use of medicinal plants in treatment of
ailments, here are some guidelines recommended by the DOH:
