SYSTEM STATUS
OSM Coil Isolated This means that the Mechanical trip ring
is in the isolated position and the switch can not be closed until it
is returned to the normal (up) position.
SIM CAPS NOT CHARGED This means that the SIM module
that houses capacitors for tripping and closing is not ready to be
operated. It will appear when the mechanical trip is isolated. It will
also appear when the cubicle is powered up for the first time and
the capacitors are being checked and charged.

Voltage measured on ALL bushings (when open) - standard
Measurement
The SIM Module accepts the signals from the CVT and CT
outputs in the OSM tank and transfers them through to the
Relay Module after filtering the signals
The Relay Module converts the analogue signals received
from
the SIM Module into digital data for use by measurement
and protection
The measurement data is filtered for harmonic content and
the
RMS value of the fundamental signal is used by Protection
and Indication applications
Measurement
Measurement
RMS values for active and reactive power / energy values, power
frequency, power direction and phase sequence are calculated
once per cycle

Power Quality
Data relating to power quality issues can be captured by
the RC-10 and can be analysed to allow utilities to address
the cause of these factors before they degrade line assets
or trigger penalties from regulatory bodies.
Data includes:
Power Quality
0.5 6.0kV
0.1kV
Phase Configuration
Phase Configuration allows a customer the
capability to re-configure default phase
designations, according to their own line
connections to the Recloser
All measurements, indicators, records,
protection settings and counters operate
according to the new phase designations

Example
If phase configuration was set
to CAB and fault records
indicated a recurring B phase
fault.
Linesmen sent to inspect the
fault should look for a problem
along the cable connected to
C phase on the OSM tank.
Controller time zone must be correctly set for site location so that
event log time stamps to be at the local time. Otherwise log time
stamps will be recorded at GMT/UTC time (+00:00).
Eg. Brisbane, Australia = UTC+10:00
San Francisco, USA = UTC -8:00
Sao Paulo, Brazil =
UTC -3:00
Fast Keys
Fast keys allow the status of protection elements and the active
protection group to be set by an operator using a single push
button.
When enabled they can only be used when the Panel is set to
Local control mode.
The panel Fast Keys can be programmed to be available or not
available according to local operating practice. If a Fast Key is
disabled, pushing it will have no effect.
If a fast key is Disabled (eg. AR)
AR function can still be ON.
The button has been made
unavailable.
Four options are available. Specific overlay stickers are available for
each
