The study of what constitutes
right/wrong behaviour, through the use
of inner, guiding moral principles,
values, and beliefs to analyse a
situation
Thus, ethics provide standards of
behaviour
2 types
Duty-based (based on religious beliefs)
Outcome-based (based on desirability of results)

self interest. Company focuses on economic
gains.
Defensive contributes minimum effort
toward SR in an effort to obey the law
Accommodative does more than required
by the law to contribute toward SR
Proactive leads in identifying and
responding to social problems using the
organisations resources
