Emphasis: an area or object within the artwork that
draws attention and becomes afocal point.
Focal Point: refers to an area in the composition that
has the most significance, an area that the artist wants
to draw attention to as the most important aspect.

Assignment
1. SKETCHBOOK: Sketch out your
ideas for your door & key lock scene
in your sketchbook.
2. FINAL DRAFT REQUIREMENTS:
-Draw in pencil first.
-Draw a large key lock on a door.
-Have details on your door (ex: wood
grain lines, metal decorative design
around keyhole, etc.)
-Draw a landscape or magical world
inside of your key lock.
-Use colored pencil for color or draw
very dark in pencil showing value
(light to dark shadows.)
-Fill the entire page of your artwork
with drawing/coloring/shading.
3. Write your name on your artwork!
