System Module Rel3 Capacity (1/4)
System Module Rel3 Capacity - Number of Subunits
Compared to System Modules Rel2, available capacity of System Module Rel3 does NOT depend
on number of commissioned cells. Table below presents number of available subunits for traffic use
(or CCCH / interference cancellation processing if needed).

Available resources (subunits) can be used for CCCH processing, HSDPA schedulers processing, LCGs,
HSUPA users and thr. processing, Rel99 users processing and interference cancellation processing.
Please note that each System Module Rel3 contains CCCH processing resources required for Basic

System Module Rel3 Capacity (2/4)
System Module Rel3 Capacity - Number of Subunits
There are two types of Extension submodules available: FBBA and FBBB
Extension submodules are used in order to extend System Module capacity.
Up to 2 Extension submodules can be used to extend capacity of a single System Module Rel3.
Different combinations of Extension submodule types can be used to extend System Module Rel3.
