Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) program
Begins when bags are diverted from the mainline for inspection
Initial Site Acceptance and Testing (ISAT)

Instructional Strategies
Inquiry Learning: Students use an investigative process to
discover concepts for themselves.
Make observations, pose hypotheses, and speculate on conclusions.
Share thoughts and tie the activity back to the main idea/concept
Interactive Lecture: breaks up the lecture for an activity
that lets students work directly with the material.
Observe and interpret features of images, interpret graphs, make
calculation and estimates.
Self-Assessment: Students receive a quiz (typically
ungraded).

The student is expected to illustrate, identify information within
graphic.
Periodic quizzes will be used during the formative assessment
process to monitor student learning.

Overall objective
Provide students with a base level knowledge of the CBIS ISAT
program
Reduce the amount of time required to fully train CBIS ISAT

Smith and Ragan four stages to the evaluation.
First stagedesign reviewsis completed prior to the
development of instruction.
Stage twoexpert reviewtypically occurs after the
instruction is finished but before it is used.
The final two phases - include the use of the actual instruction
