INTRODUCTION
Housing in the modern concept includes not only the physical
structure. providing shelter but also the immediate & related
community services and facilities.
Criteria-
1. Healthful housing provide physical protection & shelter.
2. Provides space for cooking , eating, sleeping, washing & excretory
functions .
3. Provide protection from noise & pollution.
.Water supply is the provision of water by public utilities commercial
organization, community, andeavors or by individuals, via a system of
pumps & pipes.
.Safe & wholesome water
a) Free from pathogenic agent.
b) Free from harmful chemical substances.
c) Usable for domestic purpose
d) Pleasant to the taste, lie free from color & odour.
Daily water requirement 2lit/ head for drinking.

Domestic use- drinking, cooking, washing,


bathing ,gardening.
Industrial use- for processing & cooling.

OBJECTIVE
I. To assess the housing stander d of my
given family.
II. To find out any deviation from normal
stander.
III. To determine the adequate supply of water
IV. To detect if there is any misuse of water
& any pollution and give recommendation.
V. To give recommendation about water
spread disease.

Observational describetive cross sectional
study.
b) Study area - kadarhat,Narendrapur,South 24 pargana.
c) Study period 11 November & 5 December 2016 from
9am-12pm
d) Study duration 20 days
e) Study population - allotted 4 family members
f) Study tools - stethoscope , measuring tape, pen, schedule
,news paper torch e.t.c
g) Study technique - data ware collected by interviewing
family members and taking measurements where ever
necessary.

RECOMENDATION
At individual level-
a) Personal hygiene should be maintained.
b) Washing hand before eating, cooking & after defecation.
c) Namita Biswas the wife of H.O.D should visit Angan
wari center for Nutritional & health education . also can
visit IIMC( under taking center of KPCMCH or rural health
center of KPCMCH.
d) Durba Biswas the daughter of the HOF should visit
Anang wari center and IIMC for health & education.
. At family level-
a) Cleanliness of the latrine should be maintained.
b) They should use mosquito net.
c) They should use long handed mugs.
RECOMENDATION
At community level-
a) Breeding area & surrounding should be
araned.

yojona, SWACH BHARAT ABHIJAN.

SUMMARY
The family of ARUN BISWAS is Nuclear family in the phase of
extension.
There are 4 members , out of which 3 are priority members.
The wife of the H.O.F is class 10 pass (2 nd ary education).
No addiction is present in this family.
No history of illness present in this family.
Total income of the family is Rs.4000/-
According to modified kuppuswamys scale 2104, family is upper
lower class family.
The family lives in a semi pucca house.
Overcrowding present in this family .
Breeding area present around the house.
The only source of water supply is by deep tube well.
There water supply is adequate & hygienic & fulfils all the criteria
of safe and wholesome water.
There are spread of mosquito in that house.
