Childhood

Born as Nesta Robert Marley, on February,6 1945.

Birth Place was in a village of Nine Mile, Saint Ann Jamaica.

Bob Marley was mixed raced.

His father, Norval Sinclair was a White England-Jamaican whose family came
from Sussex, England and his mother, Cedella Booker, an Afro-Jamaican.

Bob Marley was constantly made fun of because he was a mixed child and
because of his beliefs he self- identified as a Black African.
Education

Bob Marley's only formal education was at the Stephaney All-Age School in
Nine Miles. He left school at the age of 14 and said: If I graduated all those
school, I would be a living idiot now.

After few changes he and his other 2 friends, Nevill and Peter, formed a music
band The Wailers in 1863

Bob Marley and the Wailers were a Jamaican reggae band created by Marley with

Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer in 1963.


Religion
Bob Marley was once a member of the Rastafari movement
(development of reggae).

Marley was a vegetarian.

He was known as "Tribe of Joseph", because he was born in


February.

Bob Marley was baptized by the Archbishop of the Ethiopian


Orthodox Church in Kingston, Jamaica, on 4 November 1980.

Bob Marley had three with his wife Rita, two adopted from Rita's

previous relationships.

His final words to his son Ziggy were Money can't buy life
