Concepts of Thermodynamics
The laws of thermodynamics in principle
explain the events of heat transfer and work in
process thermodynamics.
law of Thermodynamics
There are two laws of thermodynamics,
namely (1) the laws of thermodynamics and (2)
the second law of thermodynamics.
Law of Thermodynamics I
This law states that energy can neither be created
nor destroyed by living things. Often also called the law
of conservation of energy. Primary energy coming from
the sun can only be deformed, but energy remains.
Examples are solar light, light is an energy and light
energy can be transformed into heat energy, kinetic
energy, potential energy, or energy food / chemical.
Sunlight used by plants, eventually the plants can grow
and bear fruit, which then will be food energy. So the
energy here is not lost but just changes form of sunlight
into fruits and vegetables.
Law of Thermodynamics II
This law states that any ongoing process of
change (transformation) forms of energy are
always inefficient and generate entropy (waste or
pollutants). By Karen was in any change in the
form of energy, it always happens entropy in the
form of heat loss or loss of energy.
How the law of thermodynamics apply to the
living system?
Law of Thermodynamics I
a) People eat vegetables vegetable necessarily young, fresh, and so forth.
The rest would be discarded when it is still an energy. So here is going to
happen the rest of the vegetables that can not be utilized by humans and
discarded, but the remains are to be utilized by other oerganisme including
oerganisme decomposers.
b) If we're going to drive a motor vehicle of course, we use fossil fuels such
as gasoline or diesel. If we use gasoline by 1000 mega calories to play the
machine, then the machine will work less than 1000 mega calories. How is
energy that can not be used to make the machine work is called entropy. in
this case not all of the fuel energy is used to drive machinery but is wasted
as heat. This we can then drive a motor vehicle exhaust or the engine will
be hot. In the process of using energy that is irreversible, then the natural
entropy increases.
Law of Thermodynamics II
a) The use of food energy. Energy food (rice is a material that contains
energy) is used and processed by the body's metabolism (the body
ecosystem) into energy that can be used to do work (berkeja well) to
produce entropy in the form of feces, body sweat and breathing vapors.
When we eat rice casserole, then the stomach metabolism is unable to
process them even become good energy, causing abdominal pain (resulting
not work well) and produce entropy (stools or defecation) stout. Feces is the
result of the rest of the meal that was not absorbed by the body.
b) The use of fossil fuels in motor vehicles and their engines are not in
perfect condition, it will cause incomplete combustion to be wasteful of fuel
oil. Kedaan This led to a high entropy and be more energy is wasted into the
air. Therefore, the use of fuel oil as far as possible the machine must be in
perfect condition.
c) Use of energy be continued, the use of alternative energy, such as
biomass energy, water energy, anggin, wave, and solar energy for various
purposes everyday life.
