Development of Ideas

Idea 1 London Eye

The first idea we had was to have pictures of


various London landmarks before a time laps
of the London eye which the BBC One logo is
incorporated into.
We have decided that we would record the
London eye at night time in the dark as this
way we can see the lights on the London eye
which we will be changing to red so that it
matches the BBC One corporate identity.
The BBC one logo that we created will slowly
fade into the middle of the London eye whilst
it is moving with a red light round the
outside which would look great as it links to
the British TV channels ethos and the colours
represent the channel through connotations.
Idea 2 Postman

The second idea we thought up was to have a


postman deliver a letter in a red envelope to a
random house, then the recipient will open
this letter to see the BBC One logo we created
and the camera will look at a point of view
shot from the recipient and show this logo.
This idea is good as the red envelope relates
to the BBC One current corporate identity
whilst also having the British Royal Mail
incorporated to show British relation which
relates to the ethos for the BBC.
The red theme is brilliant for the BBC One logo
as connotations for the colour red are
elegance, power and importance which helps
to represent the channe.
Idea 3 - Football

This idea is to have some friends using a


football to try and hit the crossbar of the goal,
then one of the people hits the crossbar and
the ball bounces back, this is when the camera
follows the ball from the crossbar to the floor
and closes in to see the BBC One logo fade in
over the top of the football.
This idea is good as we would have a famously
English football star take the crossbar shot as
this will link with the British roots of the BBC.
This essentially means we are linking back to
the ethos for the BBC showing they are British.
The kit the person shooting will be using is red
as this links back to the corporate identity for
the BBC which we believe is a relevant thing to
do.
Idea 4 Stadium

This idea is to use the Wembley stadium and have a


long shot of the stadium seeing people entering the
stadium, then we ten pan out and have the whole
stadium in the shot with the lights they use to
create an aesthetically pleasing appearance to the
ident, then we will see the BBC One logo we created
fade onto the camera view in the dead middle of the
screen overlapping the other images in view.
This ident links with the ethos for the BBC as the
ethos is about being British and such and we will be
using a British landmark in ours and we will be
making good use of the lights they have at
Wembley stadium as we will be incorporating these
to create a better appearance for our ident.
We will also be seeing multiple fans of all different
ethnicities which will represent unity and diversity in
our ident letting people know that BBC One is a
diverse channel that targets all ethnicities.
Idea 5 Busy City

This idea is to get a time lapse of a busy location


in London such as outside a train station so we
have a good view of the many different people
entering and exiting the station whilst having cars
and such driving around in the background. Then
we will have the logo we created fade onto the
screen in the very center to clearly show the
channel.
This idea links to the ethos for the BBC as we will
incorporate a bus stop or train station which will
help to link with the British transportation and
such.
This idea is also good as will expect to see a
London bus come threw on the time laps over and
over as most London streets have buses that use
them which will link to the corporate identity with
the use of red.
