The right to vote could not be denied based on
color/race
What is the result of the 19th amendment?
Women could now vote in elections (Womens
Suffrage)

What does the 24th Amendment do? How does it allow


more people to vote?
It outlawed poll taxes. Many states used poll taxes
to prevent the poor from voting. Outlawing them
allows those people to vote.

What does the 26th Amendment do?


Lowers the voting age from 21 to 18
Who could now vote as a result of the Voting Rights
Act of 1965?
All African-Americans

What was the result of the Civil Rights Act of 1964?


Employers could not discriminate based on race or
gender.

What was the result of the Civil Rights Act of 1968?


Banned discrimination based on race or gender in
selling or renting homes.
