Watercolor: it means a pigment that, when mixed
with water as a medium, creates a type of paint.
Watercolor paint is transparent, and the white of
the ground (paper) underneath provides light
that shines through the painting.
Pen & Wash: wash of diluted ink or watercolor
paint applied in combination with a pen drawing.
Close Up View: a detailed or intimateenlarged
viewor examination of something.

Assignment
1.Sketchbook: Practice drawing an
instrument of your choice.
2. Final Draft Requirements:
-In pencil, draw a large instrument
filling most of the page.
-Outline instrument the in sharpie.
-Paint the entire page with watercolor.
-USE MORE WATER THAN PAINT!
-WASH BRUSH IN WATERBOWL TO
CHANGE COLORS IN PALETTE.
-DO NOT MIX COLORS TOGETHER IN
PALETTE!!
-Wash brushes at the end of class.
3. Write first/last name / grade/class
period on artwork before you start
painting.
