It is still a contentious issue whether Palestine is a state or not.

It has been ocupied by the Israel since 1967

After Israelis invaded Palestine in 1967, Israels
Prime Minister, Golda Meir, remarked that
Palestinians did not exist.

There are no language, religion, or culture that


can distinguish Palestinians from other Arabs.

However, Palestines nationalists still believe that


they are Palestinians.

Therefore, Palestinians can be indentified as a


group of political movement that is against the
Israelis.

Palestine has its own government divided into 2 administration

Palestinian National Authority (PNA)


- outcome of the Oslo peace process as the elected government.

Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)


- international recognition as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.

The PLC is an elected body of 132 representatives, and must approve all government cabinet positions
proposed by the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister chooses a cabinet of ministers and runs the government, reporting directly to the
President.

Palestinians from other Arabs, but the Palestine
Nationalists regard themselves as Palestinians.

Government: Palestine has its own government.

Sovereignity: Palestine is removed from the


United Nations, but it is still recognized as a state by
many countries.
