a) Tostudytherequirementofeachitemofinventorybyconsideringannualconsumption,openingstock,
lead time consumption .(required stock or consumed stock during lead time ,i.e consumption during
periodbetweenissueofpurchaseorderandreceivedeliveryofthatitem)averagestock,maximumstock
andminimumstock.
b) Afterstudyingtherequirementsifdepartmentfeelthatthereis
needofanyparticularitem,thenitpreparesmaterialrequisitionformandsendtopurchasedepartment
topurchasethatitem.

PURCHASE SYSTEM
Purchasing of items start with the material requirement to the departments. They initiate a purchase
requisitiondetailingthematerialrequirementtothestoredepartment.Iftherequiredmaterialisavailablein
thestore,thenitisissuedafterproperverificationofthematerialrequisitionformbythestoredepartment
i.eitshouldbeauthorizedandsignatureshouldbethere.Entryismadeinbothinthebincardandinthe
respectivesoftware.
Whengoodsrequiredareavailableinthestores,thenorderisplacedaftercertainessentialsteps.
Reputedvendorsorsuppliersareselectedandarecalledforthequotation.Theygivetheirquotationswhich
arestudiedtoselectthemostappropriateone.Orderisplacedbyissuingpurchaseorder.
Receiving the order, the concerned party delivers the goods to the store department with the copies of
challan.Thegoodsareverifiedandinspected.Goodsreceiptnumberispreparedafterreceivingthemand
thensenttotheconcernedgodown.Andthenrequirementofthedepartmentisfulfilledbyissuingthemthe
goods.
