The application to be developed is an Enterprise resource planning System which is
used to improve the business strategy of an organization efficiently.
The application will be built to enhance and increase the efficiency of the existing
procurement and requisition capabilities of the organization.
Procurement and Requisition are the two modules developed in the system.
The application would be developed by using PROGRESS 4GL and QAD(Quality
Assurance and Development) Enterprise Application.
A request for quotation will be made for standard business process to invite suppliers
into bidding process to bid on a specific product or service and once the best quotation
is choose and order is made for the raw goods
This application is expected to increase the efficiency of the process roughly by 37%
thereby saving up on cost by 23%.
Design and development of Order Assortment Executive Suite is an ERP System which is
used to improve the business strategy of an organization.
The application will be build to enhance and increase the efficiency of the existing ERP
system.
Requisition : Requisition is the process of finding out the quantity of raw materials in the
inventory and if there is less quantity then it can be taken to the purchasing department for
a purchase order to be created.

Procurement process is a cycle or chain that shows the activities
that procurement goes through in obtaining a given need for
operational and strategic purpose. Wan Lu (2007) argues that
process consists of flow chart and blue print to describe a
process in pictures using symbols with arrow lines connecting
each operational step.
(Weele, 2010 p. 29) has described and grouped the process of
procurement into six different stages as specification, select
suppliers, give contract or ordering, expediting and evaluation of
the entire procurement process.
