QUESTION 16; MR. John Akilimali, a Chemical Engineer was
recruited by Morogoro Canvas Ltd to work in the Production
Department in January 2012. His demonstrated hard work
elevated him to be promoted to the position of a Human
Resource Manager effective from 1st January 2013. However
Mr. Hassans efficiency and effectiveness has recently been
hampered by lack of proper Human Resource information in
the company. He is striving to design a tool that will ameliorate
the problem so that he can easily plan for Human Resources.

INTRODUCTION

Human resource management is a managerial function


that tries to match an organizations needs to the skills
and abilities of its employees.(Armstrong,2009)

Human resource planning, is the process by which a


firm ensures that it has the right number of people,
right type of people, at right places, at right time doing
work (Walker,1978).

of gathering classifying, processing recording and
disseminating the information required for efficient and
