Design of microstrip transmission lines

50 ohm microstrip line production and loss

measurements & ADS simulation
First, the purpose of the experiment:
Formed on a 0.8 mm FR4 substrate transmission line
of any length, the line width of the operating frequency is
2.4 GHz.
To understand the transmission line loss itself in
different working frequencies, so that future experiments
able to grasp the exact part of the loss of foreign origin to
make more accurate experimental data.

Microstrip Resonators
Design of microstrip resonators

The purposes of this experiment are

To understand the half-wavelength and quarter-

wavelength transmission line structure
And to achieve a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms
on a microstrip line structure, operating at 2.45GHz

The purpose of this experiment is
to allow the students to design and actual production of
microstrip impedance converter , measure and discuss
the results .
make some sections of microstrip impedance converter
for the impedance reached 120 to 50 turn transitions
, and the operating frequency of 2.4 GHz maximum
reflection coefficient m -15 dB
Answer:
a) So, let me make a Binomial Transformer design that
have five sections. It should match with the 50 load to
120 line.
Solutions.
For N = 5, ZL = 50, Z0 = 120 so we have :

A = 0.03125 ((50-120)/(120+50))
A= -0.012867647
The necessary binomial coefficients
are

And this gives the required

impedance as

Z1= 51.3868

Z2 = 58.9194

Z3 = 77.4539

Z4 = 101.826

Z5= 116.7529
