 Abdominal Trauma
Stab wound is part of the sharp trauma which is a stab
wound get into the tissue of the body with a wound which
is often very small incisions on the skin, for example a
stab wound to the knife.
 Abdominal Trauma
Abdominal trauma is an injury to the abdomen , can be
blunt and penetrating trauma , and trauma intentional or
unintentional.

 Pathophysiology
Pathophysiology that occur related to the occurrence of abdominal trauma are :
1. There was a fluid displacement associated with tissue damage , blood loss
and shock .
2. The metabolic changes mediated by CNS and system makroendokrin ,
mikroendokrin .
3. There was a problem coagulation or clotting associated with massive
bleeding and multiple transfusions
4. Inflammation , infection and formation caused by the secretion of the
digestive tract and the bacteria into the peritoneum
5. Changes in nutrients and electrolytes that occur as a result of damage to
the integrity of the cavity of the digestive tract .
 Mechanism of trauma
Stab wounds or gunshot wounds ( low speed ) will result in
tissue damage due to lacerations or cuts, gunshot wounds
at high speed will cause energy transfer kinetic greater the
organ viscera , with additional effects such as temporary
cavitation , and may break into fragments which resulted
other damage .

In the case of peritoneal penetration , laparotomy is a
necessity , and therefore the case should be performed
laparoscopic peritoneal penetration or wound exploration
in the operating room

Signs and symptoms of abdominal stab wounds consisted of two that
is the translucent Trauma ( abdominal trauma with penetration into
the peritoneal cavity ) : The loss of all or part of organ function ,
stress response sympathetic , bleeding and blood clots , bacterial
contamination and death cells. Then their blunt trauma ( abdominal
trauma without penetrating into the peritoneal cavity ) in the form of
loss of blood , bruises / injury to the abdominal wall , damage to
organs , tenderness , pain of word , rebound tenderness and stiffness
( rigidity ) of the abdominal wall and irritation intestinal fluids .
