JAHANGIR CHOWK TO RAMBAGH.

NECESSITY
As per the traffic survey convey us the daily mess
of traffic and day by day increasing volume of
traffic to a large extent at this Location Jahangir
Chowk to Rambagh in J&K state Srinagar Kashmir
India.
The inhabitants of Jahangir Chowk to Rambagh
have demanded time and again for construction
of Fly over measuring about 2.45km which will
join Bones and joints hospital as well as Indra
Gandhi Airport in a shortest Possible way.
So, by keeping in view the demand of the people
it has become necessary to construct a Fly over
Expressway of a length 2.45KM to make the
smooth running of traffic and People.

PROCEDURE
The Fly over Expressway Project was conducted
by the various Instruments and Soil Tests
suitable for each operation.
1:-Site plan of Fly over Project was taken up by
Total Station.
2:-Taking sections at an interval of 25 meters
with the help of dumpy levels.
3:-Soil investigation report which is done by
DMC method for STPs at an depth of each
sample 1 meter upto the depth of 40meters.
It was decided that the Fly over Expressway
project will be Suitable for the said purpose.
The corridor width of 15 mts. Detailed estimate
of the project including abstract of cost has
been prepared at sanctioned scheduled rates.
The work shell be carried after inviting tenders
from registered contractors.

LENGTH OF FLYOVER CORRIDOR:- 2.45 KMs

TYPE OF FLYOVER :- RCC (Reinforced


cement Conc.)

CORRIDOR WIDTH:- 15 Mtrs

PROJECT COST:- 198 Lakhs

COMPLETION TIME:- 36 Months.


QUALITY POINT OF VIEW
The Quality work has been prepared with the objective
of putting in place a comprehensive, consistent and
common system for Quality work. The manual covers the
overall Project Design Report and the procedures for
different types of works, based on the standard
specification adopted for the project.
And also depends on various other factors such a good
contract specifications, state of the art design, a
progressive contract document, a professional
contractor having adequate financial resources and
qualified technical staff and a progressive contract
management system where contract administration
takes into the account genuine difficulties of contractors
and quality is achieved by motivation and team work.
In a professional environment and stress should be not
only mandatory and contractual returns as suggestion in
this manual but also use of quality material and best
workmanship.

It is firstly done by
AUGER, upto certain
depth,about 8 mts.
Dia of auger is equal
to the dia of pile.
Then AUGER is
replaced by BUCKET
The dia of bucket is
equal to the dia of
pile thickness of
casing.
CASING
The casing has a
depth of 7-8m.
The dia of casing is
1200mm 24mm
=1176mm
Thickness of casing
is 12mm
INSERTION OF PILE CAGE
Dia of cage =

CONCRETING
The concreting is
done after the
reinforcement is
inserted into the
bore.
The concrete is
carried by MILLER
which is laid into
the pile through
trimming pipes.
CHIPPING
Chipping is done in
order to remove
bad concrete from
the top of pile
The soil arround
the piles is
removed by
excivator.
PILE CAP
PILE CAP is laid over the
piles on order to
distribute load uniformly.
The dimensions of pile
cap varies from pile
group and vice versa.
The depth of pile cap is
1.8m

It is included in
super structure, but
It is intermediate
