these words written on it: TO AN UNKNOWN
GOD. You worship a god that you dont know.
This is the God I want to tell you about.
24He is the God who made the whole world and
everything in it. He is the Lord of the land and
the sky. He does not live in temples built by
human hands.
SPELLING BEE PROJECT:

- Create a vocabulary list that include 30 words classified as follows: EASY,


INTERMEDIATE and HARD.

- Each group will make a vocabulary table that will include 10 easy words, 10
intermediate words and 10 difficult words with pronunciation, definition and
synonym

- Each group will find 10 images corresponding to ten words from the chosen group
- Choose 10 words and write their definition so that the students have to join it with
the words
- Create 10 sentences with each of the words but leave a blank space to complete
with the chosen vocabulary
- Choose a host and contestants.
- Develop the program in at least 15 minutes
- See an example in the blog (It is just an example, each group needs to develop
an independent vocabulary)
Groups: 4 members.

Spelling Bee
1. Pronunciation
2. Fluency (Student acted as a facilitator, helping the conversation flow and
develop).
3. Length of the speech
4. Proper use of various structures
5. Vocabulary used in class was used properly to communicate
6. Voice and non-verbal communication (Pronunciation was clear and inflection
and expressions were used to enhance communication.)
7. Listening (Student responded to questions with appropriate answers,
acknowledged all statements, and incorporated them into the discussion.)
8. Creativity displayed in bringing all the material necessary to carry out the
activity
9. Eye contact: look at the audience during the entire presentation while
speaking.
10. Use of notecards: look at audience while speaking, not reading straight from
the notecards.

Day 1
- Teacher will introduce the topic using the SB book pages
74-75.
Vocabulary related to Literature will be introduced. SB pag
76-77. Students will write the words and definitions in
their notebooks.
Vocabulary: Read the poems on SB pag 78. (Read with
expression) Write the definition of Common features of
poems (Figurative language, Metaphor, Simile, Rhyme,
Repetition)
Then connect book pag 87.(reading Comprehension
activity)

Features of Poems
Rhyme: is used at the end of many lines in
poetry. Words that rhyme have similar ending
sounds, such as flame and name.
Repetition: is the repeated use of words or
phrases in a poem. Poets use repetition to
focus attention on important ideas or images.
Simile: compares two different things, usually
using like or as. For example: a yell like
thunder helps readers to imagine what a
certain yell sounds like.

Adverbs that modify Verbs
Adverbs are words that modify verbs,
adjectives, or other adverbs.
Adverbs that modify verbs tell how,
when, where, why, or under what
condition an action occurs.
Examples: We moved quickly it tells
how we moved
The sink occasionally overflows it
tells when the sink overflows
Adverbs that modify other
adverbs
An adverb that modifies another
adverb usually tells how, how often,
or how much the adverb it modifies.
Examples: They started extremely
late.
Extremely modifies late extremely
tells how late they started.
It almost never rains. almost
modifies never
Almost tells how often it never rains.

Adverbs that modify
Adjectives
An adverb that modifies an adjective
usually tells to what degree, how much,
how well, or how often about the adjective
it modifies.
Example: These extremely rare coins are
valuable.
Extremely tells to what degree the coins
are rare.
The wait was remarkably long. tells to
what degree the wait was long.
Day 2

the words and definitions on the
notebook.
