VERB
Modal auxiliary is
the auxiliary verb which is
located before the main verb
The auxiliary verb can be divided into two :
1. Primary Auxiliary Verb
2. Modal Auxiliary Verb

1. Auxiliar verb Be
Usually the auxiliary verb "Be" is sentence used in
the present tense, progressive tense, past tense and
passive voice.
Example :
- My mother is cooking
- My home was painted

2. Auxiliar Verb Do
The auxiliary verb "do" can be used in the simple present, past
and introgation (questions) and can be used simultaneously with
the main verb to form negative sentence or sentence questions.
Example :
- Do you love me?
- I dont understand what you are talking about.

3. Auxiliar verb Have


Auxiliary can be used simultaneously with the
main verb in perfect tense.
Example :
- I have writen
- He has done his work.

Example :
You can buy anything with your money but
you can not buy love.
Can I borrow your car for one night?
2. Could

Example :
You could run faster than me two years ago.
Could I use your computer to print and
scan?
3. May

Example :
He maywork out and consume healthy food every day.
You may forget the embarassing incident tomorrow.
May I go home now?
4. Might

Example :
You might forget the embarassing accident tomorrow.
The doctor might have warned you not to eat red meat.
If I have cleaned the room, might I play with my friend?
5. Will

Example :
I will help you if you help yourself first.
Will you marry me?
Ill give you a glass of water.
I think Ill change my appearance.
The sandstorm will come tonight.
6. Would

Example :
Would you like to see my craft?
He would be free tonight.
If you had remembered to invite me, I would have attended
your party.
7. Shall

Example :
We shall overcome it someday
Shall we pay a call him?
Shall I give you some advice?
The Human Resource manager shall report the employee

performance.
8. Should

Example :
You should see the doctor.
We should meet more often.
9. Must

Example :
You mustnt give up.
We must go to bed now.
10. Ought To

Example :
I ought to wear high quality running shoes.
We ought to select the best candidate for the job.
Auxiliary capital usage rules:

1. The verb should not be added with the -s / es, if there


are auxiliary capital.
2. Between the capital word auxiliary verb should not be
associated with "to"
3. If the auxiliary capital the past tense, the verb used
must first verb (infinitive).
4. Sentence question (interrogative sentence) is formed
by placing the auxiliary capital in the next sentence.
5. Sentence disprove (negative sentence) formed by
adding not after the auxiliary capital.
