ABSTRACT
Irrigation system in India has given a high priority in economic
development. Many new concepts are being developed to allow
agricultural automation to flourish and deliver its full potential. To take
full advantage of these technologies, we should not just consider the
implication of developing a new single technology but should look at the
wider issues for complete development of a system. Implementation of
Hi-tech Agricultural Solar Fence Security with soil Humidity Based
Automatic irrigation system and voice alert on PIR live Human Detection
is been implemented in this project for safe and secure agriculture
irrigation.
The project irrigation control using ARM7 is designed to tackle the
problems of agricultural sector regarding irrigation system with
available water resources. Prolonged periodsofdry climatic conditions
due to fluctuation in annual precipitation, may appreciably reduce the
yieldofthe cultivation. The expenses in establishing manyofthese
crops and their relative intolerance to drought make an
effectiveirrigationsystem a necessity for profitable enterprises.

LITERATURE REVIEW
1. WIRELESS MONITORING OF SOIL MOISTURE, TEMPERATURE &
HUMIDITY USING ZIGBEE IN AGRICULTURE
Author :- Prof C. H. Chavan, Mr.P. V.Karande
The main objective of the present paper is to develop a smart
wireless sensor network (WSN) for an agricultural
environment. Monitoring agricultural environment for various
factors such as soil moisture, temperature and humidity along
with other factors can be of significance. A traditional
approach to measure these factors in an agricultural
environment meant individuals manually taking
measurements and checking them at various times. This
paper investigates a remote monitoring system using Zigbee.
These nodes send data wirelessly to a central server, which
collects the data, stores it and will allow it to be analyzed then
displayed as needed and can also be sent to the client mobile.

sensors, AC submersible pump, relay driver. A submersible motor will get switched ON /OFF
depending on the soil moisture condition and status of motor can be displayed on 16X2
LCD. This motor will be operated using RF communication. Whenever the dry condition is
detected then the motor goes to on condition. Level Sensor is used to indicate the level of
water. If water level is LOW or HIGH it will give the buzzer indication. Here we are utilizing
solar energy to charge the battery.

12
DESCRIPTION
The LPC2141/42/44/46/48 microcontrollers are based on a 16-bit/32-bit
ARM7TDMI-CPU with real-time emulation and embedded trace support,
that combine microcontroller with embedded high speed flash memory
ranging from 32 kB to 512 kB. A 128-bit wide memory interface and
unique accelerator architecture enable 32-bit code execution at the
maximum clock rate. For critical code size applications, the alternative 16-
bit Thumb mode reduces code by more than 30 % with minimal
performance penalty. Due to their tiny size and low power consumption,
LPC2141/42/44/46/48 are ideal for applications where miniaturization is a
key requirement, such as access control and point-of-sale. Serial
communications interfaces ranging from a USB 2.0 Full-speed device,
multiple UARTs, SPI, SSP to I2C-bus and on-chip SRAM of 8 kB up to 40 kB,
make these devices very well suited for communication gateways and
protocol converters, soft modems, voice recognition and low end imaging,
providing both large buffer size and high processing power. Various 32-bit
timers, single or dual 10-bit ADC(s), 10-bit DAC, PWM channels and 45 fast
GPIO lines with up to nine edge or level sensitive external interrupt pins
make these microcontrollers suitable for industrial control and medical
systems.

LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

14
LCD
LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. LCD is finding
wide spread use replacing LEDs (seven segment LEDs
or other multi segment LEDs) because of the following
reasons:
The declining prices of LCDs.
The ability to display numbers, characters and
graphics. This is in contrast to LEDs, which are limited
to numbers and a few characters.
Incorporation of a refreshing controller into the LCD,
thereby relieving the CPU of the task of refreshing the
LCD. In contrast, the LED must be refreshed by the
CPU to keep displaying the data.
Ease of programming for characters and graphics.

DESCRIPTION
In Todays world global warming is being increasing year by
year. There are many reasons like pollution, deforestation,
water contamination, etc...In coming years the major
problem before us is depletion of ozone layer which is
caused by the release of CFCs. Some of the equipments
which cause this effect are refrigerators, ACs. In this
project we are mainly focusing on a solution to control this
problem we have focused on refrigerators which releases
CFCs. Here we are designing a mini solar based refrigerator
which is cheaper as well as eco-friendly.
Solar-powered refrigeratorsare most commonly used in the
developing world to help mitigatepovertyandclimate
change. By harnessingsolar energy, theserefrigeratorsare
able to keep perishable goods such as meat and dairy cool
in hot climates, and are used to keep much needed
17
vaccines at their appropriate temperature to avoid spoilage.
The portable devices can be constructed with simple
SWITCHES AND PUSH
BUTTONS
A push button switch is used to either close or open an
electrical circuit depending on the application. Push button
switches are used in various applications such as industrial
equipmentcontrol handles, outdoor controls, mobile
communication terminals, and medical equipment, and etc.
Push button switches generally include a push button
disposed within a housing. The push button may be
depressed to cause movement of the push button relative
to the housing for directly or indirectly changing the state
of an electrical contact to open or close the contact. Also
included in a pushbutton switch may be an actuator, driver,
or plunger of some type that is situated within a switch
housing having at least two contacts in communication
with an electrical circuit within which the switch is
incorporated.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
A rechargeable battery or storage battery is a group of one or
more electrochemicalcells. They are known as secondary cells
because their electrochemical reactions are electrically
reversible. Rechargeable batteries come in many different
shapes and sizes, ranging anything from a button cell to
megawatt systems connected to stabilize an electrical
distribution network. Several different combinations of
chemicals are commonly used, including: lead-acid, nickel
cadmium (NiCd), nickel metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-
ion), and lithium ion polymer (Li-ion polymer).
Rechargeable batteries have lower total cost of use and
environmental impact than disposable batteries. Some
rechargeable battery types are available in the same sizes as
disposable types. Rechargeable batteries have higher initial
cost, but can be recharged very cheaply and used many times.

19
INVERTER
Aninverteris an electrical device that convertsdirect
current(DC) toalternating current(AC); the converted
AC can be at any required voltage and frequency with
the use of appropriatetransformers, switching, and
control circuits.Solid-state inverters have no moving
parts and are used in a wide range of applications, from
smallswitching power suppliesin computers, to
largeelectric utilityhigh-voltage direct
currentapplications that transport bulk power. Inverters
are commonly used to supply AC power from DC sources
such assolar panelsorbatteries.

20
SOIL SENSOR

Soil moisture sensorsmeasure the volumetricwater

contentinsoil.[1]Since the directgravimetric
measurementof free soil moisture requires removing,
drying, and weighting of a sample, soil moisture sensors
measure the volumetric water content indirectly by using
some other property of the soil, such as electrical resistance,
dielectric constant, or interaction withneutrons, as a proxy
for the moisture content. The relation between the
measured property and soil moisture must be calibrated and
may vary depending on environmental factors such as soil
type,temperature, orelectric conductivity.
Reflectedmicrowaveradiation is affected by the soil
moisture and is used forremote sensinginhydrologyand
agriculture. Portable probe instruments can be used by
21
farmers or gardeners.
PIR SENSOR
In a PIR-based motion detector (usually called a PID,
for Passive Infrared Detector), the PIR sensor is
typically mounted on a printed circuit board containing
the necessary electronics required to interpret the
signals from the pyroelectric sensor chip. The
complete assembly is contained within a housing
mounted in a location where the sensor can view the
area to be monitored. Infrared energy is able to reach
the pyroelectric sensor through the window because
the plastic used is transparent to infrared radiation
(but only translucent to visible light). This plastic sheet
also prevents the intrusion of dust and/or insects from
obscuring the sensor's field of view, and in the case of
insects, from generating false alarms.
